Ok so I know that I haven't updated in like forever but I've had really bad writers block on this story and I've been writing other stories to try and get over it but it isn't working! I've had this saved for ages but I haven't put it up because its the shortest thing everrr but its all I've got. its doesn't seem like people like this story anyway so I might just start fresh with my other stories and make sure they're done or nearly done before I put them up.. not sure yet.
Pacing the top step of the stair case I once again tried to pluck up the courage to face my new family. I decided to have a shower and make my self a little presentable so I can go down, but the problem is I've been stood at the top step for about half an hour trying to decide if I should actually go down there. I don't want them all feeling sorry for me because I accidentally let slip my thoughts, but then again I really need some human comfort right about now and I don't want to seem like a coward either. Softly hopping from one foot to the other, I chewed my lip still feeling undecided when suddenly there was a low chuckle from the lounge room. My grip tightened on the woolly blanket that was draped over my shoulders as I recognised who that laugh belonged to.
"Scarlet you do know I can smell you don't you?" I was hypnotised by that voice, once again locked up in a trance that I did not want to break free from.
Gulping down the nerves that had appeared, I held my head high and made my way down the stairs and into the lounge room following the pull of my mate.
As soon as I walked into the room I was bombarded by Miles' intoxicating smell. His eyes were glued to me, I tried to divert my attention away from his handsome face as best I could even though I felt as if I was going against every instinct inside me. I could feel his gaze burning into me, willing me to face him, as my palms became sweaty and my heart beat increased dramatically over whelmed with nerves and lust from his alluring scent. Biting down on my lip hard I tried to shield my emotions from him with no such luck it seemed as a low possessive growl filled the room.
My head snapped up in his direction in shock. I was about to go all ape crazy on his butt about 'how I don't belong to him' and how 'he shouldn't be possessive', but I was at lost for words as soon as my eyes connected with his. My nervous behaviour was forgotten as my eyes stared into the bottomless pits of chocolate brown that were his eyes.
As If they had a mind of their own, my feet carried me closer to the handsome boy sat on the couch staring at me with desire burning in his eyes. I was over come with the need to be close to my mate, my every instinct, need and feeling revolved around him all of a sudden, as I locked my arms around his neck. Starring deep into his eyes I could sense that he felt the same as our mouths inched closer together and finally met with a magnificent spark. Everything in the world seemed to melt away as flames erupted around us and lust and passion that filled the air, seeping into every crack and hole in the room. My mind was void of every thing that wasn't him, my mate, my one and only, Miles Roberts.
