// With one-thousand two-hundred and forty-six reads and eighty-one votes (Haha effort), statistics have officially gone further than any of my other discontinued books (Don't bother looking for more, the only other is my depressing rant book)! I am so proud of you guys and thankful for sticking with this book. I'm trying very hard to stick with this book myself which will be easier if I had more parts typed ahead than I do. But until the end, enjoy!//

He hoped sincerely, that Danika would return his feelings. Would she, maybe. Maybe not. He decided with the latter but hoped sincerely that this would make it mutual. With everything in place, from the picnic by the creek, hidden by low hanging willow trees, to the gift he grasped in the palms of his hands.

He walked back and forth, across from the set up he made. Every now and then a bird would chirp from a distance.

He was nervous.

Never in his entire life, had he ever been nervous. Was it because of this special event, or because he could possibly lose the one person who he had any connection with. Possibly the latter.

The forest entrance held the promise of the next clue. And it upheld it. When Danika arrived, she saw a group of what looked like tourists, huddling around the trail map board. But glimpses of silver ribbon here and there made her know the main reason for the crowd.

Danika walked up to the map and as politely as she could, squeezed between tourists to reach the front. Silver ribbon hung in places, and a purple marker was used to create a carefully drawn isosceles triangle.

Stuck on the board as well was another card. 'Danika Harvey' was written and Danika blushed as she took it off. This admirer of hers knew how to make a statement.

'That was easy, we both know. But now here's the third clue.

"The path is marked, but in a puzzler' way. Three points meet to a place, line them up and meet in haste."'

"Three points meet to a place..." Danika mumbled.

"This guy seems to have a thing for you." Said a chipper woman with frizzy blonde hair.

Danika chuckled. "I don't even know who it is." She admitted. "Though this little adventure is going well."

"Well, I wish you luck." The woman said sincerely and walked away along with the others.

Danika stared at the triangle again. Then at the arrow that pointed to where she was. Then the triangle.

"Hold on." She mumbled to herself and looked at the centre of the triangle. There, very faintly, was a tiny silver dot hidden in plain sight. "Holy crap." She muttered. "Three meet to a place. No wonder why..."

She looked at one of the tracks to go off by and headed down the same way with the new clue card within her possession.

-

Eventually, she arrived. After going twenty minutes down the trail, she went off the road from it when she spotted a silver arrow marking the direction to go. Now not only were there pine trees but low hanging willows as well. She could hear a stream far off ahead, and the birds were more chirpy than near the trails.

The natural debris crunched and snapped underneath her boots, sticks, twigs, dry leaves, and small rocks disturbed her balance from time-to-time, but nevertheless, she marched on.

As this all happened, Danika became more and more excited, and curious, as to who set up this little thing for her. She hadn't seen her friends since graduation from high school, well the majority of them. There was Trey, but he was definitely out of the question.

And oh shit did she feel timid about him now. Probably not friends anymore.

Not after seeing Ultron and realising that she had him in her care.

Sort of.

He could do whatever he wanted just about.

"How far is this place?" Danika said in disbelief. Maybe she turned to a different direction? No, she kept going straight since she turned at the arrow.

She hoped she did. She was just excited and yet impatient to see who it was.

Danika, overall, didn't find herself appealing. So how could some guy? Or girl, she swung both ways. She was a Pansexual, and her friends had supported her sexuality. But still, how could someone find her attractive? She didn't socialise with others often, because of her work she was head stuck in. She didn't act like the average young adults, who were always on social media. The only time she would go on it, is for research, reference, or the occasional episode of Rick and Morty. She's still waiting for the latest season.

Danika stopped herself as soon as she realised she was getting sidetracked by her thoughts. She observed her surroundings. She felt lost but assured herself.

The sound of gushing water was indeed louder now, at least she knew that water was nearby.

She turned around once again and came face to face with a single, red rose, tied on a tree wrapped around by purple ribbon.

Danika, with her ever-widening eyes, walked up to the flower. A red rose. Along with it another card.

She picked off both the rose and the card and inhaled the rose's scent as she opened her latest card.

'Danika Harvey,

Never had I thought I would fall in love, especially with the most amazing woman in the world. I only hope you return these feelings that I have for you. Here is the fourth riddle.

"Walk ahead ten steps east from the tree this is at. Pull back the curtains and this is where you are at."'

Whoever this was had a deep connection with her. But she couldn't get it to her head as to who it was. She only hoped this wasn't a joke, which she was starting to feel that it wasn't, because of how much effort was put into this. Unless this person was willing to go to great lengths to destroy her heart and make her hate Valentine's Day forever more.

So she took a shaky, and calm breath, and positioned herself in the east position from the tree where the fourth riddle was placed.

First step. She closed her eyes, focusing on her breathing.

Second step. She hoped with all her might that it wasn't a joke.

Third step. She wondered who it was, desperate to find out.

Fourth step. The sounds of the rushing water and the birds chirping was all she could hear.

Fifth step. The willow trees' branches swayed within the breeze.

Sixth step. The scent of pine, dirt and grass filled her senses. And then, she continued on.

Seventh step.

Eight step.

Ninth step. And finally...

Ten step.

She came face-to-face with a line of willow branches, the leaves were soft at touch, one side green and the other side silver fur.

'Pull back the curtains and this is where you're at.'

Danika slowly, with caution, pulled back the line of willow trees that acted as a curtain, and the sight she came across was beyond one's wildest dreams.
