Spencer's POV:
"Thank you (Y/N). I'm glad you're a part of the team. And I'll look forward to your interesting greetings, bye.""Um... Yeah...... Bye!!!!" (Y/n) said in a hurry. I put my phone away and continue working. I walk over to Lucy's body then to Madison's, and finally to Andy's.
There was something that they all had in common. The way the words were carved in, it wasn't a mess it was a clean cut.
"These cuts are clean. Seems like the unsub used a very sharp object. Am I right?" I ask the forensic expert.
"Yeah. The cuts were made by a sharp knife about 3-4 inches long. Which makes sense since the shorter the knife the easier it would be to control it. If it was made by a dull knife the words would still be visible, but messy."
"So, the unsub isn't driven by torture entirely, but may be by precision?" Morgan asked.
"May be. Because the more dull the knife is the more pain and torture it causes. Unlike a sharp knife it makes a clean cut that doesn't hurt like a dull knife would. So if it's not with the words that matter than what does?"
"Says here that the victims were kept for about a week before they found them in a remote location near the city." Morgan said reading off a sheet in the case file.
"What else were you able to find about the victims?"
"I found that they bled to death not by the word carving, though they were alive to feel the pain-"
"Wait so you're saying the words weren't carved in post-mortem?" Morgan asked.
"I'm afraid not. But they bled to death by having their throat's sliced, they have bruises on their abdomen and biceps. And if you look on their wrists it also has bruising, which is commonly made by rope."
"So they were hanging as they were being tortured by the unsub." Morgan remarks as he crosses his arms over his chest.
"Most likely." She said as she was looking through her test results of the victims.
"I'll tell Hotch," I said as I was dialing his number. "Hey, Hotch turns out the unsub was most likely hanging his victims as he was torturing them. But the fact that the unsub used a sharp knife indicates that the unsub might feel remorse. Oh! And (Y/n) and Garcia deciphered the words from the victims. Turns out the unsub based them off what they did last."
"Okay thank you Reid. Keep me posted."
"Yep." I ended the call.

Hotch's POV:
I end the phone call with Reid and Rossi asks me what he said.
"Turns out the unsub may have hanged his victims as he was torturing them and the words were cut with a sharp knife. Indicating that the unsub felt remorse towards his victims. And the words that were carved in are most likely based off what they did last.
"He? Well given the might and power as well as energy it would take to move the victims to a deserted spot without anyone noticing it, does make sense that it's a man. A women even having as much energy it doesn't necessary fit the profile." Rossi states.
"And this is where you're team can do the briefing. Hopefully this is sufficient for you and your team. And if there's anything you need just tell me." Detective Harold Sanchez said opening the door to their conference room.
"Thank you and this is great for our team to come up with the profile." I tell the detective as he leaves Rossi and I alone.
"Well Morgan and Reid should be heading here so we should begin with a geographical profile in the meantime. I'll call to check on JJ and Prentiss to see if they made it to the first victims house." I begin to dial JJ's number.
