I got up earlier than usual. Showered and got dressed. I had a tonne of meetings today and I groaned at the thought of them. I wore a black pencil skirt, a crisp white blouse which was tucked in and a matching jacket . I put my hair in a bun and had minimal make up except the ruby red lipstick which complimented the red stilettos I had on my feet. I grabbed my bag and laptop heading out, hoping to beat the Monday morning traffic. I passed through a coffee shop and got myself a cup of coffee before heading to work.
Even with the little detour at the coffee shop, I still got to work way earlier than everyone. Well except my boss. I noticed his jet black range rover in his slot in the parking lot. Sometimes I wondered if he ever went home. He would always be one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave. There was only the receptionist and the janitor on the ground floor who I politely greeted before making my way to the elevator.
As I was making my way to the office, I heard two voices laughing in my Boss' office. I would normally drop by to greet him but since he had company, I didn't want to intrude. Just as I bypassed, He called out my name and I just had no other option but to go in. There was a man sitted on the chair opposite him. I nearly dropped my laptop and my coffee at the sight of the figure before me. My eyes nearly fell out of their sockets. It was the man from the restaurant yesterday. You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me!
