Ch. 4
"Ahh!!!" I screamed.
"Honey, are you okay?!" My mom panicked, throwing the door open, "Oh my god!! Are you okay?! Should I take you to the private hospital?! Call the family doctor?! Raina, is anything broken?! Honey, do you need..."
I groaned and pulled myself off of the floor, "Mom, I'm fine. Just...ouch! What the hell happened to me?!!"
"You fainted in your gym class and the school called me and your dad to know if they could take you to the local hospital!"
"And? What did you tell them?" I asked curiously, sitting on my bed.
"I told them no. My only daughter will NOT spend a minute of her life in a LOCAL HOSPITAL!!! It'll be torturous!!"
I smiled, "Thanks, mom. Where's dad?"
"He had to work, honey. I'm sorry, he wanted to be here but something important came up."
I nodded, "It's okay. I need to go to school..."
"No, no, no."
"What?!"
My mom smiled and hugged me, "You'll be there tomorrow and Friday since they're so important for you but for today, you're to stay home."
"Today? Tomorrow?"
"Today's Wednesday."
I mentally smacked myself, "Wait, wasn't it Monday?"
"You were passed out since Monday afternoon till now."
"No wonder I feel like crap."
"Hey! You look beautiful."
"Thanks, mom."
She smiled and stood up to leave but stopped at the doorway with her long rich blond hair flowing freely on her back.
Her deep green eyes twinkled and she said, "You should tie your hair in a bun more often and not wear makeup. You look great."
With that, she left, closing the door gently after her.
I sat there in shock. She'd never complimented me before. EVER.
Yeah, I got my original hair color and eyes from her but I had dyed my hair black though, I love black. Don't know why.
My dad had brown hair and hazel eyes, my brother, who was away to another high school up north since he hated my current school and the one before. He was living with my moms sister and he was quite polite. Anyways, he resembled my dad a lot more then my mom. And to say that we're twins, well, we don't look nothing alike.
I grabbed a baby blue top, jeans and new undergarments along with my towel and headed to the bathroom. I hung my towel on the bathroom hanger along with my clothes and washed my face.
When I looked up, a pair of purple eyes met mines and I grinned. My eyes usually reflect the color of the top I wear. If I wear a red shirt, my eyes turn kinda of reddish which, in my opinion, is super creepy so I avoid all of the colors that make me look like a freak. Not that I have anything against freaks. No, I love them.
Anyways, I examined my free makeup face and frowned then grinned. I DID look good without makeup and with my hair tied up. Mhm, I might try something new this week. I need all day today though which wasn't a problem since I was off school today, thanks to my wonderful mom.
------------------------------
I came out of the bathroom, all ready to go when I saw some of the football players and some of the cheerleaders along with Nat and Maggie sitting on my bed.
I hung my towel on the cloth hanger and put my dirty clothes in a basket close by as I asked, "What are you guys doing here?"
"Can't I come to visit my best friend?!" Nat faked gasped.
I rolled my eyes at her and sat down between her and Maggie since they were sitting in a circle.
"Yeah, you can," I said, smiling, "What's been happening at school?"
"Everything's good," Maggie said, "Miss Hales sends you her best wishes along with the other teachers. They want you to be there tomorrow and Friday because without you, and I quote, 'School doesn't have a goddamn meaning.'"
I narrowed my eyes at them, "Who said that?"
"You'll be surprised," Owen, Aaron's best friend, smiled.
"What?"
"Promise you won't faint," Ashley said nervously.
I raised my hands in the air and uncrossed my legs, "I promise."
"The black witch did," Nat blurted out.
My hands dropped to my side and my mouth fell open to the floor, "What?!"
I was in disbelief. Okay?
"Ms. Brown said that," Connor, Aaron's other best friend, said.
"WHAT?!!"
"God, is it so hard to understand?!" Maggie groaned, "Ms. Brown said that school without you doesn't have a goddamn meaning!!"
"Why would she say that? I mean, she hates me!!"
"I dunno know," She shrugged, "Black witches can have a change of heart I guess."
"You're right. Anyways, why are you guys here? Shouldn't you be in school or something?"
"We ditched!" They all said together.
There were about fourteen of them...I think. I counted them...yep! Definitely fourteen. I make fifteen.
There was Nat, Maggie, Kelly, Andrea, Kayla, Lilia, and Ashley of the cheerleaders and Owen, Connor, Matt, Ryan, Jake, Luke, and Ashton from the football team. They were mostly close friends of Aaron and the ones I get along with pretty well.
"So," I began suspiciously, "You guys have any fun things to do in mind?"
"Definitely."
"Let's go."
They all stood and we left my house in different cars.
I went alone in my mustang, the only car that I show to people.
Oh. Joy.
I know they have something planned but I couldn't put my mind on what. These kids are so hard to figure out.
I swear, they'll all be dead if they force me to do something.

After two hours of torture with the girls and guys, I ditched them and went to the salon.
"Hello, Miss Norfolk. What can I help you with?"
See, everyone knows my family and who we are. Who wouldn't? My dad's the most amazing and respectful man around town, he grew up here and went to school here too. That's why we moved back here after everything that happened.
He met my mom in Ohio though. Back then, my mom was a teenage model, she's still a model but prefers to work as a fashionista than model. She loves designing clothes and she always designs dresses for me.
Since I can remember, she'd always told me that she'll design my wedding dress someday and that Nat will take care of the reception while Maggie takes care of the guests and other minor things.
Anyways, that's beside the point here. The point is....
"I would like my hair back to it's natural color," I said to Sydney.
She smiled, "Of course! Would you like a new haircut too?"
I nodded, "Yeah. I would like it in layers. Make it look nice."
She nodded and guided me to one of the chairs and started doing her work.
