Time passed by, and we soon found ourselves in mid-February.
Meaning.. Harry and Ron had to get back to Auror training for two weeks. They were leaving tomorrow, and I honestly was quite hopeless. I mean, last time we had been apart.. had turned out like hell. Well of course we could talk through our minds now, but still. Just the thought of us apart made me lose my cool.
"It'll be okay." Harry tried to reassure me as we walked in the room of requiement to train our minds.
"That's what I keep telling myself." I sighed.
He didn't add anything. After all, there wasn't much to say.
"I'll go first." I said after a while.
He nodded quietly and a both closed our eyes.
I let pictures flow in my mind and chose one. I nearly laughed at how random my thought was.
After a few seconds Harry let out a snort.
"Really?" He said. "An ice cream?"
"Not just an ice cream!" I laughed.
"Pumpkin ice cream. With a butterbeer." He corrected himself.
"My favourite!" I smiled.
"Wait til you eat some muggle ice creams." He laughed. "They are even better."
"Are they really?" I asked, curious, and hungry.
"They are."
"We have to go to a muggle restaurant some day. " I decided, a childish smile plastered on my face.
"I'll bring you to muggle London one day." Harry smiled.
"You better." I grinned.
"Okay. Not that I don't like planning our future, but it's my turn." My scar headed boyfriend said with a cheeky smile.
"Fine, go on." I said and closed my eyes. I waited. Waited for something to show up in my mind, waited for the connection to appear between us.
As soon as our minds connected, different kinds of pictures flooded in my brain, until it stopped at one picture in particular.
A man was there, with a cheeky smile. He could have been quite handsome, had he been younger. He seemed tired, but happy as he stepped to a young Harry and embraced him.
I came back to reality, a puzzled look on my face.
"Who is that?" I asked.
"Sirius Black." Harry replied simply.
"Oh.." I remembered what he had told me about his godfather last summer, while making a small summary of his story. "He must have been something."
"That he was." Harry laughed half heartedly. "I just thought you should know more, see more of the people you dont' remember. Sirius liked you. Told me I couldn't escape the Potter's malediction with redheads."
"Malediction?" I laughed. "I take it well, thanks Harry."
"That's not what I meant!" Harry laughed. "Let's just say that he kinda predicted that we would end up together, seeing that you had a little crush on me, and that Potters seem to have an eternal thing for redheads." he explained.
"So everyone knew I had a crush on you?" I asked. "How embarassing. Was it really that obvious?"
"I guess, yeah. " He smiled and laughed, making me blush. "But I never realised that this wasn't just a little girl fantaisy. Well at least at the end."
"I must be a medium, knowing I would be with you for so long." I smiled. "Or just very lucky."
"I don't know about lucky, but certainly a medium since you told your all family you would marry the Great Harry Potter one day." he chuckled.
"OH NOOO! I cannot have ever done that!" I said, my cheeks turning as red as my hair. But the embarassement didn't last long. "Wait." I said abruptly.
"What?" he asked, still wearing his smirk.
"Did you just say.. did you say that I would indeed marry you one day?" I grinned, and it was his turn to blush.
"No! I mean yes! I mean, only if...you know, I was just.. I didn't say.." He stammered.
I couldn't hold back my laughter anymore. "It's okay! I want to spend my life with you." I laughed. "We don't really have the choice anyway. Remember, we're bonded!" I joked, gesturing between the two of us.
"Yeah.. but.. other than that.."
"Other than the bond? I asked.
"Yeah, if we weren't bonded, do you think we would still love each other?"
"Of course!" I replied, surprised by his question. "The bond is just our souls who are becoming one, but it's not because two people are bonded that they love each other in a romantic way." I said.
"Then.." he said after a while. "Then why did we have the dream after we..did it? I mean, that's not something you do with someone that you don't love in a romantic way. Is it?"
This made me think for a while. "Well" I finally said, "Maybe it's just the moment where the bond grew stronger, or maybe it was because we were sleeping in each other's arms..like you know, when we're apart, we both have that same nightmare, am I wrong?" I asked, and he nodded to agree with me, but still not knowing what I meant. "So" I went on, "maybe when we are near each other, and asleep, meaning that wour minds are more vulnerable, we kinda connect to each other and have a pleasant dream."
"That.. that makes sense yeah." he eventually agreed. "So we could have a nice dream together again?" He said with his eternal cheeky smile.
"Potter..you need me so much, don't you?" I laughed proudly.
"I definitely do." he chuckled.
