*one month later*

There was a knock on Clint's door around 2:30 AM. He grumbled incoherently and he trudged to the door. "Stop waking me up in the middle of the night."

He opened the door up and Skye stood in front of him, arms crossed over her chest. Clint barked out a laugh as he took in her appearance. She was covered from head to toe in glitter. "Clinton Francis Barton, I swear-"

"Chill, shortie," he interrupted, "it'll eventually come out."

Skye scoffed. "Maybe when I'm ninety." She glared at him. "You'd better watch your back, Barton."

She turned away from his door and made her way back to her room, grumbling.

She managed to get most of the glitter off of her body. Her hair was a different story. She sighed before realizing that there wasn't much to be done about it at this hour.

She then grabbed a pillow and a blanket and headed towards her living room to sleep on the couch, as her room was also covered in glitter.

"Putting glitter on the stupid fan," she mumbled, "I will kill that man one day."

Skye was woken up the next morning by a loud knock on her door. She rolled off the couch and walked to the door, rubbing her eyes.

"You have another go on the lie detector today," Fury said when she opened the door.

"Good morning to you too," she rolled her eyes. She walked towards the chair that Ward's hoodie was hanging over and picked it up, shrugging it on.

"Follow me."

Fury led her down the hallway for a third time since she'd arrived and opened the door to the lie detector room.

Skye sat down in the chair and fastened herself to it, already knowing how this procedure went.

"Name?"

"Harrison Ford," she answered easily.

"Age?"

"14 years, 6 months, and 2 days," she said, only pausing to think for a second.

"Nationality?"

"Chinese."

"State of birth?"

"Michigan," she nodded. "Detroit, to be precise."

"You're stranded on an island a box washes up on shore. What's in the box?"

Skye thought for a moment before answering. "My computer."

"Difference between an egg and a rock?"

"Try biting one, you break a tooth. Bite the other, you get quite the surprise," she rolled her eyes as she answered, what she thought, to be the dumbest question they could've come up with.

"What is your relationship with your team?"

"They're my family," she answered sincerely.

"You're not a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. When Agents Ward and Coulson found you, you were trying to hack S.H.I.E.L.D. Have you given up or are you still trying to hack us and betray us all? And are you dedicated to help protect everyone who needs protecting?"

"I would betray you all in a heartbeat. The only reason I'm here is because an underground society is giving me $50,000,000 to infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D. and give them information."

Fury looked down at the tablet and watched the readings spoke only slightly. "That was scarily impressive."

"You realize I hang out with Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Ward, right?" she grinned as she unhooked herself from the machine and jumped down. "So, any chance you can send me home, now?"

Fury rolled his eyes and pointed at her. "Six months. Chill."

Skye sighed and rolled her eyes as she followed him down the hallway. "I don't need to be here! I can ace the lie detector, I'm doing great in two of my three classes, and I can learn Russian when I'm back on the Bus," she argued.

Fury didn't bat an eye. "Six months."

Skye grunted angrily as he walked into his office and closed the door behind him. She ran a hand through her hair and stormed back to her room.

She poured herself a bowl of cereal and sat down, cross legged, on her couch in front of the TV.

She looked down at the Russian textbook on her coffee table and sighed.

She had homework to do.

"I've had a bad day," Skye started when Natasha showed up at her door, "so this better be good."

Natasha smirked. "Clint's asleep."

Skye's frown disappeared immediately and she grinned like the Cheshire Cat. "Do you have the stuff?"

Natasha held up the small box with the supplies in it and Skye chuckled. "Come on, we should do this quickly before he wakes up."

The two women swiftly made their way towards Clint's room and picked the lock to get inside. Natasha knelt by the couch where Clint was sleeping and began to pull the supplies out of the box. "You apply them the same way you apply the cheap temporary tattoos," she whispered to Skye, "I mean, you don't use water, but you apply them the same way."

Skye grabbed the special temporary tattoos that agents had designed for deep undercover missions and began to apply them to Clint. She grinned as she placed a large pink flower on his bicep.

She stood back and admired her handiwork before looking down at Nat, who was working on applying letters around Clint's ankle. Skye covered her mouth to muffle the laugh as she read what it said. "He's going to kill you."

Natasha smirked. "Worth it."

Natasha then put the supplies back into the box and the two women left the room as quickly as possible. Natasha stashed the box in her room and then followed Skye back to Skye's room to act natural until Clint came looking for them.

They didn't have to wait long.

Clint knocked on the door about an hour later. Skye opened the door and Clint pointed to the flower on his bicep. "What is this?"

Skye squinted and looked at it closely. "I'd say maybe a peony?"

Clint rolled his eyes. "Why do I have it?"

Skye shrugged. "Beats me. Don't worry though, it'll come off eventually."

She moved out of the doorway and returned to the couch, where Natasha was sitting. Natasha looked up and grinned. "Looking good, Barton."

"Nat, I will kill you."

Natasha laughed. "As I've said before, it was worth it." She pulled out her phone, took a picture of his 'Clint Barton + Tony Stark Forever' tattoo, and quickly texted it to Tony before Clint had time to object.

Clint bit back a sigh when he felt his phone go off in his pocket a few minutes later. "What?" He paused while the man on the other line started talking. "Don't flatter yourself, Tony. That was all Nat."

Skye could make out the sound of Tony laughing on the other line and Clint hung up before Tony could pull himself together.

Clint pointed at Natasha. "I will get you back."

"Oh, I can't wait," Natasha chuckled. "Bring it on."
