Skye walked back from class an hour later and paused when she opened the door to her room. There were pictures of Clint's face covering everything she owned. She sighed before marching to Clint's room. She banged on the door. "Birdbrain!"
The door slowly creaked open. "No one here by that name."
Skye sighed. "Clint, open up."
"Well, sometimes I feel like Fury puts too much faith in Nat and I and that's a big weight to carry..." he trailed off.
"I meant open the door," Skye rolled her eyes.
"Oh, well you could've just said that," Clint smirked, knowing full well what she meant earlier. He opened the door and Skye stood in the doorway, arms crossed over her chest.
"Now, I love a good prank, but if you think I'm the one who's going to clean all of that up, you are sorely mistaken."
"Worth a shot, right?" he asked, following her back to her room.
"How'd you get all of them up in an hour?" Skye wondered.
Clint scratched the back of his neck. "I uh...had practice."
"Clint!" A shout from Romanoff's room echoed down the hallway.
"Run," Clint said to Skye, taking off towards Skye's room.

*two weeks later*
"Are you ready for your final lie detector test?" Fury asked as Skye met up with him in the hallway.
"This'll be a piece of cake," Skye grinned, following him to the room.
She walked up to the chair and fastened herself in, already familiar with how these tests went, having to undergo them multiple times.
"Name?"
"Beyoncé."
"Age?"
"I just turned 28," she replied.
"Nationality?"
"Well, my mom is German and my dad is French," she answered easily.
"State of birth?"
"Illinois."
"You're stranded on an Island and a box washes up on shore. What's in that box?"
"My laptop," she answered honestly.
"Difference between an egg and a rock?"
"Edible and not," Skye nodded seriously.
"What is your relationship with your team?"
"Well, Fitz and I are madly in love and the rest of the team are the children we've adopted," she answered with a straight face.
Fury raised an eyebrow as the readings barely spiked. "Wow." He shook his head and then asked the last question. "Why do you want to join S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"S.H.I.E.L.D. is dedicated to helping people, which I want to do." She paused and then added as an afterthought, "plus all my friends are agents here, so..."
"Not bad, Skye," Fury said as he set the tablet down. "Not bad at all," he helped her out of the chair.
"I try," she smirked. "So, my team will be by next week to pick me up?"
Fury nodded. "You'll receive your badge then, when the rest of your team is here."

"It'll be sad to see you go," Sarah commented as she and Skye stood in Skye's room a few days later.
"We'll keep in touch," Skye replied immediately. "Maybe I might even make it to your graduation in a few years."
Sarah chuckled. "Yeah, sorry I can't make it to yours."
Skye shrugged. "I'm sorry Fury won't let you come. It won't be much, anyway. It'll just be my team and Fury for like, five minutes. Then it'll be over. I'm sure your graduation will be much more professional," Skye smirked.
Sarah nodded. "Sounds like it." She looked down at her watch and then looked back up at Skye. "I've got to get to Italian. If I don't see you before you leave, I want to say goodbye."
Skye walked forward and hugged her partner. "Goodbye, Sarah."
"See you around, Skye," she smiled. "Stay in touch!"
Skye gave her a two-fingered salute as she walked out the door. "You got it."
Hope you enjoyed! Let me know what you thought!
