I woke up on the floor in a tent. My head was throbbing. I sat up and looked around. I rubbed my head and felt the bump from when Chris hit me with his gun. Suddenly, I remembered Addison. I went to the tent's entrance and unzipped it. When I looked outside, I saw other tents. The tents surrounded a campfire.

I crawled out of my tent and stood up. I looked around and saw everyone looking around, carrying their weapons. I saw Ashley and ran over to her.

"Ashley!" I called.

Ashley turned to face me.

"So, you're awake," Ashley said.

"Why the heck did you have me knocked out!" I yelled.

Everyone looked at us.

"It seems you're more than just awake," Ashley replied. "Look, I had to make sure you wouldn't make a stupid move, so I had to have you knocked out."

"You just left her!" I yelled.

"Don't you get it? I had to leave her. If we went back to get her, we all would have been captured."

"I thought you were all supposed to be this group of people with these amazing powers! It's not like you're defenseless."

"You really don't know anything, do you? While it may be true that we all all special abilities, so does that elite team. The difference is they are more adept with their powers than we are, not to mention, they all have top tier training. None of this is as easy as you seem to think it is."

"Can you at least explain this group to me?"

"That, I can do. Follow me."

Ashley walked toward a tent and entered it. I followed her in, and she closed the entrance.

"Why did you bring me in here?" I asked.

"Everyone was staring at us out there," Ashley replied. "They need to stay focused on keeping watch."

"Okay, that makes sense. Now, who is this elite group that attacked us?"

"The group's official name is, Squad Zero. They were assembled not long after the Yondites were forced into villages. As you know, the group has eight members, each one a member of one of the supernatural categories of the Yondites. Since Squad Zero is one of the oldest squads, the current members are obviously not the original members, but they are certainly more powerful."

"Who are the members?"

"I was getting to that. You've already seen all of them, but you've only really met three of them to my knowledge. The ones you met are known as Quake, Wound, and Spirit. I explain Quake and Wound first, but I'll save Spirit for last."

"Why?"

"Because he's probably the most important member of Squad Zero. Now, let's start with Quake. Quake, as you know, is the Body Category of Squad Zero. He's also known as the man of limitless strength. I've seen him do incredible things, such as lift seven hundred pounds of weight while barely breaking a sweat. He's obviously the most physically impressive member of the group. After him, comes Wound. Again, as you know, Wound is the Blood Category of Squad Zero. While he seems level headed, he's known to go into a frenzy during a fight, even when he doesn't use Blood Rage. He may not be the most powerful member of the group, but he's arguably the most dangerous, due to his blood lust."

"He's that crazy?" I said.

"Trust me," Ashley replied. "Words don't do him justice. You have to see it to understand. Now, the next member is View, The Sight Category of Squad Zero. He's known as the man of infinite sight, Squad Zero's All-Seeing Eye. Just like Tasia, he can expand his vision to a large radius, but his range is larger than Tasia's. He doesn't look like much, but in a fight, he's viscous. I've never seen anyone land a hit on him, due to his slow motion sight."
