It was everywhere. It was all over the newspapers, it was all over the mouths of the people who read the newspaper or watch television. Katherine Beckett could never have felt more humiliated. She had locked her self in her apartment, unable to face the face of the man who threw away everything they had ever built. Her body felt tight, and she was having trouble breathing. Her heart hurt, like it really hurt. Is this what a broken heart feels like?

Because if it is, if it isn't, she just knows it's coming. Her emotions molded into one big storm of cries out to no one, because no one was there. No one cared. Did she?

How could he do this? She thought. How could he throw away the best thing that has ever happened to me? To him? To us?

The two of them had a big quarrel last night about family and jobs, and children. Despite every one of Castle's kind and reassuring words of how great of a mother she would be, Kate just couldn't see it in her own eyes. She was scared. She knew that this subject had been a long time coming, but she wasn't expecting it so soon, per say.

She had told him she didn't want children because she didn't want them to ever be in danger with everything she had been caught up in in the past.

He didn't agree. He thought that the two of them were already unstoppable and that a love like theirs is very rare. He told her that the two of them would have beautiful children with beautiful personalities. But the one thing he wasn't doing, was looking through her perspective. He wasn't really obtaining her information as if he were in her shoes. Which bothered her. Which only resulted in more yelling between the two of them and him storming out of the loft. Anger boiling inside of him. Kate knew that when he returned he would be expecting her to be gone. So she would be. She wanted to let go of some of her anger and stress and party or drink or something, but she decided to analyze the situation and go over it would be best. So she sat in the solitude of her apartment a sick feeling creeping into her stomach.

What if he left her? What if he was thinking too? Thinking about how he wanted to be end their relationship.

But he wasn't. Richard Castle was out getting drunk and ruining his relationship with his wife.

Beckett held the newspaper in her hand reading the article over and over again.

The writer was seen after many drinks viciously attacking the mouth of a petite blonde woman with his own. Uh-oh! Will the memories of Katherine and Richard fade away and be masked by hatred and regret? Maybe.
