Everyone's Asleep

It was a usual Saturday morning. I creeped out of bed and I observed that everyone else was asleep. It was noon so I was shocked that everyone was asleep. I bake myself French Fries, and then I went back to my room, and took advantage that no one was awake, so I could eat upstairs. I go online, onto my favorite chat site, and I see a new public post. It's called: Anyone else awake? There are three comments. I observe on the chat since I know that my entire family is not awake. It turns out that all these people are from different parts of the world, and their families are not awake, and they don't even have TV. I know something is wrong. I walk outside to only hear rustling of leaves and I see a cactus. A cactus. I don't know how it got there, but there is a cactus. I keep exploring outside, and I come to the local park. It's empty. Empty. It feels eerie and dark. Soon, it gets worse. There are suddenly rain clouds forming and it starts raining hard. I run immediately to my home and take shelter in my room. I plug in my earbuds and start drowning myself in songs. I suddenly jolt. Wake up, my family says. They say happy birthday!

Today we're voting for the top four writers in the class. I hope I make it. Wish me luck!
