Brambles rustled at the edge of a wood as a cat emerged into the trees, following a well worn path. Holly bushes and brambles sprung up everywhere at the side of a trail. The scent of two cats hung in the air.

Suddenly, a small black tom sprang out of a holly bush, chasing a squirrel. The squirrel ran to the cat following the path. She leapt at it, caught it, and killed it neatly with a killing bite.

"Nice catch!" A second cat called out as it appeared from behind a swath of brambles. This one was a white she-cat with one gray paw and blue eyes.

"Yeah, but I would've caught it if she wouldn't have been standing there," the black tom grumbled.

The white she-cat flicked his ear with her tail. "Don't be so rude, Mudpaw," she scolded the gray tom. "You don't own every piece of prey in the forest."

"Not every piece, just that one," Mudpaw mumbled.

The white cat purred, then turned to greet the other cat. "Redsong," she acknowledged, "It's good to see you again."

"And you, Snowflight," Redsong meowed to her. "Do you have message for me?"

"I do," Snowflight meowed. "Follow me."

The two she-cats headed along the trail in silence, leaving Mudpaw to hunt. Along the way, the trees started to thin out until the two cats were in a completely different place. Tall mountains jutted into the sky and jagged peaks lined the horizon. The ground beneath their feet was hard and rocky.

"A great evil is coming," Snowflight suddenly warned. Redsong stopped abruptly.

"W-what is it?" Redsong meowed worriedly.

"That's something you have to figure out on your own. You need to be prepared. Only one warrior can save all of the Clans."

"I know you probably won't tell me this, but who will it be?" Redsong meowed, doubtful.

"That's something I can't tell you. However, this warrior will bloom like a flower and blaze through the forest like fire," Snowflight meowed as she started to disappear.

"But isn't fire dangerous?" Redsong asked, desperate for answers. "Snowflight? Snowflight!" Redsong meowed, but Snowflight had already disappeared, returning to StarClan's hunting grounds.

"Snowflight, why do you always have to be so vague?" Redsong muttered to herself as she started to wake up from her dream.
