Chapter 6 Seigaku Captains

            What if Tezuka and Fuji never been schoolmates in Seigaku? What if they’re from different schools? Will they ever meet and become friends? Enemies? Rivals? These are the questioned asked by the crowd as Tezuka and Fuji match goes on. Even Kikumaru and Inui finish their match just to be able to watch The Prodigy and Seigaku’s Strongest.

            Meanwhile on the other side of the court another interesting match is about to start.

“Who’s Aoi fukubuchou’s opponent?”

“I think it was Yamato or Yanada? I can’t remember sounds like that.”

“Oh I heard she beat up Megumi-senpai”

“Yeah, I heard Megumi-senpai is beaten hard by a newbie”

“So that means she has no chance of being the females’ club captain or vice?”

“Yeah, too bad for her. But I prefer Aoi-fukubuchou”

“Me too.. because megumi-senpai is quite scary tho”

“Who’s scary!?” the two student were surprised to whom they see

“MEGUMI-SENPAI!?”

*glares*

“We’re sorry! We’re sorry!” then they ran out of the locker room

“What was those two are talking about? I’m just asking them”

“Just let them go megu.” Said Riku

“Oh well, I just can’t stand it. I know that there were some rumors about our last match“

“We all have our own defeats Megu-chan… just accept that you’ve lost to a newbie.”

“You’re so hard! I can’t imagine that you’re my friend!”

“I don’t know why you’re my friend either tsk…”

“Aaah! Riku!”

During the match.

Fuji and Tezuka do counter each other’s specialties, Fuji who counters Tezuka’s zero-shiki drop shot, and Tezuka zone. And Tezuka who prevents the three counters of Fuji. On the first match Tezuka lost the first match.

Meanwhile on the other side of the court.

“Is that her?”

“The girl who defeated Megu-tan with her rotten tennis?”

“Rotten tennis?”

“Yeah she stopped playing tennis a long time ago then came out all of a sudden and defeated several of our members”

“Oh, here she comes”

It’s Yuuki Yamada who entered the court with such fierce look.

“Tsk… she looks so arrogant!”

“Megu-chan, don’t be bitter, it’s normal that we lose. So stop criticizing a newbie.”

“Hmp!”

“Oh, Aoi-senpai is here!”

“Sorry I’m a bit late, Yamada-kun. I have just gone to my warm ups I forgot that it’s almost time for our match.”

“…”
“Let’s give our best!” She gives her hand for a friendly handshake to start the match but

“Okay…” Yuuki didn’t shake her hand with her and went to position herself.

“See, I told you, that Yamada is arrogant!” said Megumi

“You seemed so cold Yamada-kun, but I won’t let you won this match. I will lead our team to the Nationals! To the championship”

“It is really your dream right?”

“Yes, no matter what happened I will lead them to the Nationals”

“I see…”

“Yamada Yuuki” she seems so serious here

“I know you’re such a talented player, and someone like you should not be wasted.”

“What do you mean?”

“The moment you join our club, that means you’ll be with us reaching our dream to make it to the Nationals. I thank you for that.”

“You don’t have to, I haven’t done anything and this is neither for you nor for the club. And besides, we’re about to start a match right?”

“I know but whatever happens here, even if your intention is for yourself or for the club, the result will be the same.”

“Huh?”

“It’s either YOU or I who will bring the club to the Nationals!”

Then the fierce battle start, not knowing the consequences, Yuuki makes the first serve. It is faster than before, it is now or never for her. Aoi did her best also, she gives everything, and she promised to herself that she will lead the team to the Nationals, just like any other dreams.

The battle has been too serious; both players gave their best only one could win the match.

The last drop of the ball is on Aoi’s court, and the match has been decided who won.

Now, Seigaku’s strongest is Tezuka Kunimitsu and the newly joined Yuuki Yamada.
