Everybody stared in amazement at what Maria had done. Not only did she had Sonic's super speed, but she also had Knuckles' strength and Silver's flying and telekinetic powers.
"How did you do that?" Shadow asked. "More importantly, how did you end up in this world without aging?" Maria told Shadow and Charmy that after being shot, she was put in a coffin in side a small building.
But it wasn't a regular coffin. It was a chronological coffin. While time changed outside the coffin, time was frozen in the coffin therefore explains Maria not aging. When she woke up she found her self strapped on a table, being experimented on.
This is where Ash and Iris come in. They were racing each other when they heard some weird noises coming from the small building. They quietly put their ears on the door to hear the voices of Maria saying "Stop!", "Why are you guys doing this?" and "Get me outta here!"
Iris and Ash were determined to get Maria out. Pikachu used Thunder Bolt to distract the people experimenting on Maria while Iris took off the restraints tying down Maria. Then Ash told Pikachu to hit the wood on the building. Pikachu did just that and blinded the people that experimented on Maria. They escaped to the deepest part of the forest where Iris and Ash tried to wake up Maria.
"Who are you guys?" Maria had asked.
"My name is Iris," Iris introduced. "To my right is friend Ash."
"You guys are dating?" Maria asked. That question made them both blush and they simply forgot about the weird question Maria asked. She introduced herself to Ash and Iris and also thanked them for saving her.
"Guess I owe guys," Maria chuckled.
"Naw," Iris replied. "You don't owe us anything."
