Chapter-7
He was running. Running for hours, for eternity. The pitch black darkness around him was licking his skin with its liquid tongue, leaving tar like substance behind. He tried to wipe them off but it clung to him like a second skin. The only source of light was far at the distance. JingYu was standing there, arms stretched forward, calling him. There was a big, bloody gap where his heart should have been. Blood ran down from his head. WeiZhou screamed JingYu's name as he tried to reach him. But no matter how fast he ran, the gap never seemed to shorten. His feet were bleeding. There was so much blood everywhere. The path was sleeked with it. He looked back and there it was. The creature from hell. With its dark wings, sharp talons and glowing red eyes, it chased him. WeiZhou stumbled and fell down. The creature came down from its soar and leaned his face to him.
It had his own face.
WeiZhou screamed.
"Let me go to him, go to my Jin. Please, don't hold me back. He needs me. My Jin. He is in danger, please let go, I beg you, let go"
The creature only tightened its grip and brought its wings down. As the feathers began to engulf him completely, a faint voice touched him. The voice of his lover.
"Never let me go, Zhou...."
"JIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN, JIIIIIIIIN, Jin, don't go.....don't go.....don't leave me......Jin..."
XOXOXOX
Mohor watched with concern as JingYu's lolling head stiffened with consciousness and eyes fluttered open. The pupils were still crimson, she noticed.
"Zhou..." came the slurred call. The first human sound the vampire made in three days.
Mohor wanted to go to him immediately. To hug and soothe him, tell him that everything would be all right. But she held herself back, barely. Her past experiences with JingYu taught her that, even with his arms chained to the wall, JingYu was a threat.
"Zhou....?"
As JingYu's lucidity began to come back, so did his distress.
"Zhou?"
With every call his voice rose.
"Zhou!"
He tugged at the chains and when could not, tried to wrench his arms off.
"ZHOU!!!"
"JingYu, no! Don't! You'll hurt yourse-"
JingYu's manic eyes panned on her and he bared his teeth in a sneer. Mohor retreated the steps she took towards the chained man. JingYu seethed at her, froth oozing out of his mouth.
