So, the next part is here.😊
Thank you so much to all of you who voted and commented and appreciated the last chapter. It was so great to know that you guys liked the way I decided to write Zhou's past. This chapter is shorter and I'm still writing Zhou's story, so, the next update may not be this quick.
Another thing I want to say. I have observed that my stories are getting less reads than before. I don't know the reason as I've never received any negative remark on any of my stories but as a writer it is quite disheartening. I do not profit in any way through these stories other than having the pleasure of seeing people reading and liking my stories and hearing their thoughts. So, it feels discouraging when I see the number decreasing. Anyway, you must be thinking what a silly rant I'm having. Sorry. My new assignments will start from tomorrow, so, I'll be getting even less time to write. Maybe it's a sign. Maybe my writing is getting boring and I need to take a break.
Special thanks to- struggle_wind for always encouraging me by making wonderful covers on my stories! Thank you so much, Rie!💗
Hope you enjoy the read.

Chapter- 9: Zhou’s Story Pt-2
WeiZhou took it upon himself to look after JingYu.
Once the news of him tending to JingYu reached the General things did not go down well. But WeiZhou knew when and how to stand up and so he did. He stood his ground, held his head high and said, “No, I cannot do that.”
“But the way he behaved, he treated you, he must take the responsibility of his actions,” the General stated.
And what about your responsibilities? Have you seen what you have done to your own son? WeiZhou wanted to ask but did not. “Whatever happened, it was between us. I should be the one to judge the seriousness of the matter. If I can let it go, then, I see no point in keep punishing him.”
He was acutely aware of the fact that going against this tyrannical man may land him in countless of troubles but he was ready to take the risk. For JingYu. And he had the privilege of not being General’s son.
In the end, his stubbornness won. And he took up his caregiver’s duty.
WeiZhou had previous experience from tending to his ailing father but JingYu was the worst patient he had ever seen. The only thing he was good at was saying ‘no’.
“Let me dress your wounds.”
“No.”
“You can’t take a bath. Let me give you a sponge wash.”
“No.”
“You’ve been throwing away your food out of the window? Are you insane?!”
“No.”
They bickered, yelled and cursed at each other but WeiZhou refused to let anyone else take care of this enormous idiot.
And when JingYu slept, WeiZhou caressed his face with his eyes and sometimes with his hand, if he felt daring.
It took almost a week for JingYu’s fever to break and WeiZhou sighed in relief, but it did not last long as JingYu became more difficult.
