Chapter 4

While Hope, Aqua, and the rest of the gang were above water having a great time, under water, everyone was freaking out. Especially her mother, who loved her with all her heart. Hope had been gone for days, and everyone is panicking. Even the 'peasants' or villagers.

Mitch hadn't visited either, which made everyone freak out even more. Also with Phoebe gone, they have three missing kids. Poseidon and Maggie are having Molly, Ocean, and Faith in lock down in their bedrooms until at least one child is found so they know one was okay.

The only time they could go out of their rooms was during dinner. And then the Royal Guards would escort the Royal Daughters back to their bedrooms. The locked tight all the windows because the king and queen fear that's how Hope was taken. But she wasn't taken, she left.

Of course Hope feels bad, but shes also free. The king and queen are also going with four to five guards looking for Hope, Mitch, and possibly Phoebe. But was is making the king and queen mostly paranoid, is that they have heard that another group of mermaids was kidnapped the other night while playing around, adding on that Hope's best friend Aqua is missing as well.

Ocean was up in her locked bedroom one afternoon, reading, when a soft knock came to the door.
"Enter." She said. A guard stepped in, with Ocean's sister Molly.
"Hello Princess Ocean." He greeted bowing down.
"Good afternoon. Same to you, Molly." Ocean replied.
"Ocean, I was hoping I could talk to you." Molly responded.
"Okay. Please come in." Ocean said. Molly nodded as the guard let her in and exited the room. Ocean sat on her bed as Molly joined her.
"What is troubling you dear sister?" Ocean asked.
"I miss Hope oh so very much." Molly answered.
"I do to, Molly, but we must stay strong. Hope is a very, very sweet and smart girl." Ocean said.
"Are you sure?" Molly asked.
"Positive."

-Hope's pov-

Aqua, the boys and I were at the beach late tonight. The beach was having a big summer get together, and we decided to go. We had a big picnic blanket set out, lots of food, and the boys had their cell phones to do 'vlogs.' They also explained to me what a YouTube channel was. Mitch's is BajanCanadian, because Mitch is Canadian. Its from my moms side, but Im not as Canadian as Mitch or Maggie.

"Hey guys, anyone hungry?" Adam asked reaching into the picnic basket.
"I am." I said.
"Same." Ty agreed, and everyone else agreed to.
"Alright... we have chips, soda, water.." And Adam went on with the food. I shared some chips with Mitch and Tyler. Suddenly, a bunch of lights lit up in the water, and the ocean water turned different colors. It was blue, pink, yellow, and orange!
"Whoa!" I exclaimed.
"That looks cool." Mitch said.
"Im jumping in!" Adam yelled as he ran to the docks. He did a front flip into the water being followed by Ty, Tyler, and Jordan. I ran after them and sat on the edge of the docks, being followed by Aqua and Mitch.
"This is awesome!" Adam yelled. Adam and Ty were wrestling in the water when everyone else on the beach jumped into the water, but Mitch, Aqua and I stayed on the dock. I looked over my shoulder, and I saw a group of three boys walked into the beach area in they're swim shorts and no shirts. I smiled and them, and I could tell Aqua was to. The one in the middle noticed me and waved. I waved back, and his friends noticed to. They all smiled at me and Aqua, and one motioned for us to come over. I made sure Mitch wasn't looking before I walked over to them with Aqua. I approached them and they smiled at me, showing they're perfectly white teeth a bit.
"Hey." One greeted.
"Hi. Im Hope and this is Aqua." I introduced.
"Im Westly, that's Aaron, and that's Scott." Westly said pointing to each of the boys.
"Nice names." Aqua said.
"So, Hope, is that short for something?" Scott asked.
"Well, my sisters say it means hopeless, but I know it means hopeful." I explained.
"Well, they shouldn't say that. Your really pretty, ya know that?" Aaron said putting his arm around my neck. I giggled as Scott did it to Aqua.
"Yo, Aqua, Hope, we're going to a late night pool party down by the beach houses, wanna come?" Westly asked.
"That'd be awesome." I said, Aqua nudged me in the arm.
"What about Mitch?" Aqua asked.
"Hmm, cute boys vs. my brother. Not a big decision." I said as I walked away with Aaron. Westly came, followed by Scott and Aqua. My first party as a human!
