Chapter 9

-Mitch's pov-

As Phoebe swam to the docks, we helped her up and everyone focused on her, hugging, crying, but not everyone. I wasn't. I was watching Hope, and I knew Adam was to. Adam tried to jump in and get her, but I held him back along with Ty.
"Let me go!" He screamed.
"Its to dangerous!" Ty squealed.
"Its for Hope! Nothing is to dangerous!" he said getting out of our grip. He cashed into the water, and Ty, Jordan, Jerome, and I went after him. We tackled him and held him back as everyone was now focused on us.
"Look!" Phoebe shouted from the docks. We all looked in the direction of where she was pointing, the boats. They were all closing in on Hope. One man had ropes, another had a cage, like shes not a animal!
"Hope!" Adam screamed at the top of his lungs. We were all swimming towards the boat now, me being the fastest. But, one of the fishermen noticed and attacked Hope, tying her up and taking her away.
"Hope!" I shouted. But the boat took off. I dived underwater and chased down the boat, but they were now throwing stuff at me as they were leaving. Nets, hooks, everything. One threw a net at my tail and it got stuck. It was pulling me in, and I cried out for help. Adam and Jordan came to my side, and they helped me out and to the surface.
"Shes gone..." I whispered. Adam looked like he was going to cry.
"She.. told me she loved me." He finished. He went underwater and went to the bottom and just sat there. I stared at him confused, but he was trying to drown himself. I gasped and went down and dragged him back up. He fought of course, but I got him up.
"Are you crazy?!" I screamed.
"I need to be with her!" He shouted.
"Shes not dead! Shes alive!" I shouted back.
"How do you know?" Adam yelled back.
"Because I know her! Shes a very smart girl and she would never make a mistake like death! She'll find her way out!" I shouted back.
"Like its her choice!" he said. I hit him in the arm and he shoved me. I glared at him and tackled him in the water. We had a fight, but Jordan pulled me away and Ty and Jerome took Adam away. Adam, Ty, and Jerome went back up to the docks to calm him down but Jordan and I stayed there.
"Dude, what the heck was that?" He asked.
"Im under pressure! My little sister might be dead!" I answered.
"But she might not be! Look, Mitch, you need some time to cool off. Maybe you should stay at someone's place tonight." Jordan replied.
"Im not sleeping until Hope is found." I said.
"Mitch-"
"Im not letting what happened to Phoebe happen to Hope." I interrupted.
"What happened to Phoebe?" Jordan asked.
"She was kidnapped about a year ago, and everyone was in a panic that a princess had gone missing. But, in the first six months or so we pretty much gave up looking for her. We still looked for her obviously, but most people forgot about the oldest Princess, and I will NOT let that happen to Hope." I explained.
"Don't worry, it wont. I'm with you, Ill help you look for Hope too, but I wont stop." Jordan agreed. I nodded my head and we swam back to shore. Most of the police officers were gone looking for Hope, but that's how it all started with Phoebe. But the difference between Hope and Phoebe is, Hope has someone who loves her, mermaid or human. Someone who loves her for her. And that was Adam.
