I loved her. I really did, but there were some lies behind her innocence. I believed that she hadn't ever done a thing wrong. Until the year of 10th grade.

{ Near the end of 10th grade. }

I heard the door shut to a room that was never used by a single teacher. It was used as a storage room. I was always the person to snoop around. Making sure that it was a janitor or an adult getting into the storage room, I put my things away in my locker and sneakily poked my head around the corner to where I saw the door shut. I took a peek through the window in the door and saw something I never wanted to see.

{ The beginning of 10th grade. }

Ryan's P.O.V

Here I was. In high school. I mean I was already in high school last year, but still. I am just saying those things because I'm nervous. No not nervous about the first day of school. Im nervous about the fact that Evaligne will be here. I Ryan Andrew Jackson, have had a crush on Evaligne ever since I was in fifth grade.

It's been five years. Yeah five years. That's really sad. But you know feelings come and go. Sorry about the rant just can't stop thinking about her.

I walked through the school doors being half excited and half nervous to see Evaligne.

I took a look around to find any familiar faces at all. That's when I saw my friend Alex. Correction. My best friend Alex. He's known me ever since we were about 7 years old.

"Ayyyee! It's my boy Ryan! What's up? How's it been?" Alex said with a smile.
"It's my boy Alex! It's been good. How 'bout you?" I said happily. He then held his hand out and we pushed our hands together then having a hug with a quick pat on the back.

That's when I saw her standing with her friends waiting for the bell to ring as she checked her-from what seems to be her class schedule.

"Uh hello? You good or do your eyes wanna be looking at her for eternity?" Alex said laughing. "Damn," he said looking at me then to Evaligne. "I didn't know that you really were in love with her. Well, I mean, who doesn't have a crush on her? She's super smart, very fine, and she's one of a kind."

"Shut your face Alex." I said hesitantly.

"Hey, your choice. You can try to go after her but-" that's when Alex was cut off by the sound of the first bell to go to your 1st period.

That's when Alex disappeared into the crowd before finishing his sentence...

Oh my god what was he about to say! He knows something about her that I don't. What the hell? I'll ask him about it later. For now nothing will look good on my attendance if I'm gonna be late especially on the first day.

I got into room 384 and took a seat. I looked around for Alex or Evaligne. I couldn't keep thinking about her. Neither of them; this class was gonna suck without my friends. And maybe future girlfriend. Take note that I said maybe.

"Okay! Hello class! Welcome back to school! I hope that you guys have had an amazing summer break!" My teacher Mrs. Syth says startling me, taking my train of thought away from Evaligne.

The door swung open and Evaligne came in with a pass from the office. She looked like she was lost. Lost like a puppy dog lost. The teacher took the note from her and told her to go to any seat that was open in the back. She was the seat in front of me diagonally so I could always stare at her from a good, close distance.
