He was being pushed around in various different directions. The halls crowded and packed with busy people trying to find their way to their destination. He gripped his case tighter and took a breath, releasing it as he tried to wriggle his way away from the crowd and break free.
Justin managed to get away from the swarm of people who, like him, had just excited the plane from LA to Ontario, Canada. His eyes took a moment to adjust from the bright colours of everyone's clothing to the now overload of white that crowded his vision and he only now noticed that it was daylight outside and he felt the slight jet lag begin to set in.
His attention was stirred by someone yelling out his name and he recognised the voice instantly. He grinned widely as his body turned around and his eyes scanned the white room for the person who was calling for him.
He stopped searching the room when he noticed who he was looking for and he quickly began trailing his bags behind him as he walked over to the man.
"I was beginning to think I'd lost you to the craziness that is this airport." His dad chuckled as he held his arms out and instantly pulled Justin into a tight hug as soon as they reached each other. Justin laughed alongside him and nodded slightly over his father's shoulder.
"I almost did." He spoke back, his voice a little hoarse from his nap on the plane and his dad smiled a genuine smile as he pulled back from the hug and stared at Justin, his hand still resting firmly on Justin's shoulder.
"I've missed you." He told him and Justin licked his lips while he agreed.
"I missed you too, dad." He replied and the older man quickly leaned in to hug him once again, Justin didn't stop him.He felt his father let out a sigh of relief as they embraced and Justin smiled as he hugged the man a little tighter.
"Thank god." He heard and Justin's eyebrows twitched as the knitted together in a curious manner.
"What?" He replied quietly and his father pulled back from their second hug with a cheeky grin.
"You're still smaller than me." He chuckled back and Justin's teeth showed through his wide smile as he rolled his eyes playfully and gently pushed his father back.
"Hey, blame your mother. Not me." The man chuckled as he latched his arm around Justin's neck and hooked him in, turning them around and walking through the airport.
"I'm glad you're back, son. It's going to be great." Justin nodded at the words. He hoped things would be great, he needed them to be.***
Stratford wasn't a large town. The population was a small sum of 31, 465 people last time he checked but this small town was a big change from his city life back in LA where he lived with his mom and her husband.
He loved living in LA, be loved living with his mother, he had missed his dad but he'd been away for so long and it was what he was used too. He felt bad saying it but if things hadn't gone wrong back home with his mother then he probably wouldn't be here with his dad. Maybe this change was for the better, he was excited to get to know his dad again.
