Back To School

Two weeks later.

I haven't seen Connor in two weeks and I know I shouldn't be worried but I am. I fear the one thing in my mind are we official?

As I entered the empty hallways and drafted through the shallow air of secrets and lies. I was instantly looking for Connor without recogninition. I passed by my locker not realizing I did. Ms.Cassy"s room door was closed with no light through the door window. The whole halls were fixed with at least ten kids I think I'm early to school. I glance to the left of me looking up at the hallway clock. 7:10.

What am I doing here so early, then again I remember mom is the vice principal. Mom, I can't believe I'm so attached with my feelings of love as a family again that I called her mom I just can't help to remember the fear and Anger and sadness when I found out our mother had passed so I guess I'm afraid to open up again. But I think I already did.

I walk outside down the outside hallway and look right and then to the left and I notice the drinking fountain. The one drinking fountain in the school that doesn't taste like the ocean. But there was also a boy there. He had his head tilted while drinking water so that I couldn't recognize his face but out of curiosity I walk up to him slowly then at a regular pace.

I reach the boy and tap him and he turns around, and I arouse with excitement and hope that it's Connor. And it turns out to be Jacob he's a quiet kid but it's not Connor so I apologize and turn around to walk away. But I feel my eyelids shut by cold hands and I'm stuck guessing who. But it can only be one person Connor.

"Connor, is that you?" I guess. "Yes how did you know?" he says letting down his hands. "I just know you and-" I say as he cuts me off with a excitement grin. "I have a present for you." he says.

"For me, what's the occasion."i say.

"Our two week anniversary." he says flirtatious.

I freeze could this all be real or just a dream.

"Oh it's official." I say with curiosity.

" Yes and it's ok if you didn't get me a gift I still love you anyways."
