New Look

Staring. Constant staring as I walk by my sister, Callie to go to the bathroom. Looking from the corner of my eye I can see her expression, then I face towards her.

"What?!" I said irradiated she continues to stare.

"I...." she is just speechless.

I look at her the same way then after a few seconds I got annoyed but held my stare.

"Why Did you do it. Do you think you're not perfect or something.... I'm just curious." she looked lost. Which is reasonable.

"I think it's time for a change I realized pain and the fact that I did something I regret and also I just went through a break up-" I paused.

"I need this." I continued.

Finished talking we were just standing in the hallway on a Sunday night. Mariana on the phone with her boyfriend, he's actually alright I guess. Then Jesus is in his room studying. Brandon is practicing piano, and moms are just watching a movie in the living room, I don't know probably some romantic movie. Then there leaves me and Callie standing there, until she finally attempts a smile, that didn't work by the way and walks away.

Next Day At School.

I stayed in the car last one to get out, just sitting there moms didn't say a word until Lena finally said.

"Honey, you can do this." With a sincere voice she finally gets out and so do I while mumbling under my breath.

"Yeah."

Lena finally walked in a different direction to get to her office but I stayed on path to the hallway.

Walking down the hall, a sudden silence and staring at me.

I cut my hair shorter, died it a blue color, and wore a flannel shirt with skinny jeans and black converse high tops.

Feeling amazing I kept waking and from a distance there he was Connor at his locker. I kept walking getting the attention it was I guess you would say my fifteen minutes of fame, then he turned to look at me and whispered "Wow." Shocked in surprise I kept walking, and when I walked I felt like the universe finally gave me a good day.
