People talk about passion all the time and that one should follow our passion to get the success. But is it always true?
Sometimes you have to get out of your passionate way to do something that will ensure you good money. One might be good at something but not all of us can make it to the highest rank. Now that is where you lost your passion because although you have interest in one field but that field may not give you a bright future. So At the end you move on, take the ways that help you to earn enough to lead a good life.
Therefore, at the end it is not what you want but what you need.
But for the people in Mapril high this was not the issue, they have loads of money and hence all they need was to follow their passion to make it big in their lives. But then their were students like me, who were like rare species of this highschool. Those who have to do everything in their power just to fit in.
The question is how many of them wanted to be here?
I of all definitely don't!
It was definitely not my dream to study amongst the obnoxiously self obsessed people who knew nothing then to flaunt their money. My passion doesn't matter here. I was just a middle class girl who were not supposed to be as passionate as other students here.
I finally made my way to the cafeteria, a place where I rarely go. Why? because cafeteria was the place where you can very promptly see the differences between the students of this school. Plus the cost of everything here was just too much. but since I forgot my lunch that day, hence, there I was.
The cafeteria of Mapril high was again not normal, it was huge with well furnished table and chairs placed all over it in a well defined manner. It looked more classic than any other school's cafeteria with large windows and all white theme.
I stood in the queue for the lunch. When my turn came, I took some French fries and a normal sandwich as it was the cheapest thing there.
I had already wasted a lot of time chatting with Chris in the hallway. I didn't have enough time to take my lunch to the library or somewhere else so I decided to eat it at cafeteria itself. Spotting an empty table at the very back, I made my way towards it. I can feel the stares of few people who knew me and didn't expect me to be here, which was bugging me. However, somehow I had become accustomed to it and tried my best to ignore them.
Munching on my French fries I looked around. I spotted Jennifer's table filled with people. Jennifer was popular and people love to stick around her like bees to honey. Sitting next to Jennifer was Jennifer's best friend Tiara Anderson, her friends called her Tia and she preferred it, for God knows why, according to me it was an awful nickname.
The thing about Tia was although she was Jennifer's best friend but unlike Jennifer, Tia was very quiet and always scrutinising people. Where Jennifer tends to speak her mind and show people their places, Tia thinks it's best to offer people her silence. As she thinks people here were not worth it. Tia was not as rich as Jennifer but that doesn't seemed to brought her ego down at all. She knew the powers she holds at Mapril High, Jennifer's friendship was just a huge bonus on her part.
Although, according to me, Tia was bigger bitch then Jennifer. As Jennifer was always bitching about people so one can predict her moves before, but with Tia's silent attitude it was not possible. she was highly unpredictable and makes her move when people were least expecting it. In short, I found Tia much more dangerous and intimidating then Jennifer. Hence I always steer clear her way.
Suddenly Tia's eyes snapped towards me. I immediately looked away and silently hoped that she didn't notice me staring. I tried my best to avoid gazing at her direction.
