Chapter 19

“You..,”

“Yes, me.”

“You!” I repeated, bit louder than before.

Probably because of my astonishment.

“Yes, me.”

“You..,” Once again I found myself repeating the same word for I couldn’t really believe my eyes.

“Yes me! What’s wrong with you? Why are you so shocked?” He asked.

He went silent for a moment, probably scrutinising my shocked state as he added, “Were you expecting someone else?” The arrogance in his voice didn’t go unnoticed by me.

Shocked by his presence, I didn’t make any move. My legs felt paralyzed due to the shocked stae I was in.

He finally stepped up and took the books I was holding from my hand. That action was enough to mess up with my neurons. I was completely mesmerised by the way he took my books from my hand. The slightest touch of his hand on mine, shot the tingles up in my entire body. Due to the proximity I noticed how, his long blond streak in front kept on falling over his forehead. His hair looked so soft to me that I wanted to ask what kind of hair product did he use.

But I guessed that'll be a bit too weird to ask.

“Damn it Amanda! Stare at me after this. Can’t you see we are kind of getting late right now?” I should have thought that Chris will definitely remark about my staring. By now I  should have learned.

I really need to get rid of my creepiness.

“No, I was shocked to see you,” That was the sentence I used for my self defence.

So much for explaining my creepy staring.

“Why? Were you expecting Blake to come?” Chris smirked at me. Maybe he was enjoying my discomfort and the fact that he was the reason for it must also be satisfying to him.

“No. In fact I wasn't expecting anyone.” I told him honestly. He didn’t bother to reply after that and without any warning he began moving. With few long strides he was way ahead of me. I had to almost run to catch up with him.

“Can you slow down a bit.” I said, once I was able to catch up, I was almost out of the breath by then. He on the other hand completely ignored my panting self and kept on taking longer strides.

"Will you slow down a bit!” I was full on panting by then and we weren’t even that far from where we started.

“No I can’t. We are getting late so you better start moving faster.” he said very calmly, without even looking at me. He didn’t even bothered to slow down as he was still moving with the same pace.

“Urghh...! Okay but where are we going?” I said while increasing my pace as I was still trying to catch up with him.

“Are you serious?” he stopped abruptly, making me  almost run into him. “Blake told you this, almost a thousand times in the morning!” He said while gazing at me like I was the dumbest person on the Earth.

“Oh yes, parking lot. Right? So we are going to the parking lot?”

“No we are going to the Disney land. I was thinking if you want to change before that or not?” he mocked me, making me feel even more dumb.

“Alright, Alright.. I get it. It was a dumb question.” I said to which Chris rolled his eyes.

“But why are we going to the parking lot?”
