A semi colon is a wonderful piece of punctuation! It is multi functional and can be yours today for free!
A semi colon can be used to end a list for example eggs, flour, sugar; fruit (don't know what I am baking but 🙃) or it can be used to replace and, or; but in a sentence. However this can be tricky so I have a real easy trick on how to use a semi colon correctly...
Think about it! If you were to write the sentence with and, or; but would it still make sense?
E.g Train; boat?
Train or boat?
Really when you think about it, common sense is often the best grammar.
