It's already 12:00 midnight. Perfect.
I jumped out of bed, tied my blankets together and threw it out of the window and climbed down. Since I don't have long hair, this is the only option. I scrambled down the tower wall and ran towards the forest.
Before anyone wonders, I'm Sabia, the princess who got cursed about apples and locked up in a 30-foot tower. Great. So I sneak out every night without anyone noticing, and rush into the forest where I try to find the witch who cursed me. But whenever the sun rises, I have to go back to my prison, I mean tower.
So, back to reality. Yes, I'm good at wall climbing, running, climbing trees and at being invisible. You guys won't even believe I'm a princess. My hair's a mess, my feet's covered in mud ( I prefer to go barefoot, the shoes are too high for me to walk on), I smell like a sewer and my lips are cracked. I don't know what those suitors see in me.
So okay, every night I try to go farther as I did the previous night. I already know the way to the person who can help me break this curse. The townspeople gave me this map to the forest, and now I know every stone and tree in the forest, even in the night. I looked up to see the stars. They're the only things that make me happy in my tower. They brighten up the sky, and just twinkle. I got lost in the stars, when I bumped into someone, or something that talked.
" Ow!" I shrieked.
" Watch where you're going!" it screamed.
" I am so sorry." I replied, trying to stand up and look in the direction where the voice came from.
" Oh, great. Just great! My bag ripped!" it exclaimed.I bet the creature's a boy.
" Uhm, not to be offensive, but, what are you?" I asked.
" A dwarf." he gruffed. " Next time, stop being such a clumsy little rabbit!"
" Now, hold it!" I said. " I'm not that clumsy!"
" Well, I'm not gonna listen to your petty explanations. Toodles." he said.
When his image came into the moonlight, I saw that he was a small man, holding a sack of--what?! He is actually holding a sack of diamonds over his shoulder! diamonds! Lots of 'em! I ran up to him, and accidentally bumped him again.
" Oh lady, you really need a smack in the face!" he exclaimed.
" I am really sorry sir, but I see you're carrying diamonds! How did you get lots of diamonds?" I inquired.
My kingdom's going bankrupt. Since my 16th birthday, all the apple businesses were torn down. And this kingdom is supposed to be rich in apples. Apples are our number one product! And now it's gone, and we don't know what else to trade. We are forced to trade things we're not very abundant of. And this grumpy dwarf might just help me get my kingdom back on its feet!
" Lady, I'm not telling you!" he gruffed as he stood up as he swung the sack on his shoulder and left.
I just sat there in pure shock, still not getting over the diamonds I just saw. That sack of diamonds can save a village! I ran in circles to find the dwarf, but in vain. I stopped short, when I realized it was already sunrise. I looked around and realized I wasn't here before.
I was lost.
