MAYA

prologue

Police where everywhere  searching the surroundings. Arjun while hugging his mom, asks the officers if they found her body. The officer says
" the tide is high,  so it's possible her body was drifted into the ocean."

Everyone tense. Saanj asks the officer to search again. The officer confuse says " why are you so adamant  to find her. You guys are safe now."

Arjun turn to the officer " your right we're safe, but this is not right. Maya..." he paused " she hurt my family, but we never wanted her dead"

" I understand  that sir, but she chose this. She kidnapped  you ,  and drove the car towards the cliff to committee suicide. Luckily,  what ever injection  she injected you with wore off in time for you to ascape."

Arjun sigh, he remember  exactly what happend during those last minute. They found proof against Maya, she injected him and kidnap him with samaya help. The police caught up and chase after them.

But during those last minute, Arjun didn't know what came over Maya. He didn't know if it was his words that got to her, or reality. But Maya seeing the end, genuinely smiled at him, before pushing him out the car.

Arjun was still baffled by it. Saanj seeing him in deep thought asks what's on his mind. Arjun smile " nothing, it's finally over"

" yeah" she says

The family walk away from the scene. Ignoring the cry from samaya. They know it will be hard to start over, but they will try for a better day.

Four days later......

Dev was by his car to pick up his daughter.  He was taking her to the beach. After many attempt,  he managed to plan this. Arms cross, he smile when he saw his daughter coming out with her things.

His smile soon turn to a frown when he saw jatin. " I think that's everything I need" sona says

Dev confuse stops her " where you going?"

" I'm  coming along"

Dev raise a brow " why? You know it's my turn to watch her "

" I know, but I don't trust you alone with her at the beach"

Dev frown, he would have thought sona  would trust him with his own daughter,  but hearing her say that hurt him. " I'm  very capable of watching her"

Sona close the trunk after putting her stuff " that does not ease my worries at all". She open the car to sit, but stop seeing jatin, sona told him, his coming.  Dev frown, before sighing and going in.
