MAYA

part 10

Ashwari  was still not calm after what happened . She got up and decided to check on Dev.  On her way her oldest  daughter stops her.  " where you going MA?"

" I need to check on your brother.  Just to be safe"

Her daughter stutter while thinking of something.  " B-hai said he wants no one to disturb him. "

Ashwari  scoff at this " I'm  his mother he wouldn't mind"

His sister tries again to stop her " bbhai  says we can't enter "

Ashwari  raise a brow" is something going on,  you wouldn't let me go to his room yesterday and now your preventing me.  Is your brother even home. " she says suspicious

Before one of the sisters could give an answer,  the doorbell ring. They all wonder who it could be so early in the morning. 

Ashwari  walks to the door and open.  She almost had a heart  attack seeing who their guest was.  Sitting on a wheelchair  with her son holding onto the chair was non other than Maya.

Dev with an apologetic expression says " MA"

Ashwari  still shock,  back away.  She points a finger at Maya " why is that girl here in my house Dev"

Dev coming in tells his mom to calm down. " MA... Maya  got into an accident, I had to help her, especially considering  the fact that it was my fault in the first place. "

When he said this,  Maya look at him while thinking. Ashwari  hearing this looks at Maya.  Soon her expression became worried. " you poor thing" she faked

Maya whole body became alert. When ashwari  hugged her,  she whispers  in Maya ears " enjoy my son sympathy as much as you can.  Soon you will be gone from his life"

Maya eyes widen,  her brain was calculating things in her head.  She smirk,  so I was right to be worried when I saw her. I take it she was the reason for me ending up in the hospital. She thought,  but theirs one thing that's been bugging her , how did she end up with these people.

Putting aside her question. She pats ashwari  back as to challenge her.  Ashwari  taking back by her gesture moves away.  She turns to her son " well since she's in need of help,  I will forget what happen yesterday.  Go an take her to her room"

Dev hearing this smile and thank his mom. His sisters followed him,  while asking if Maya was alright. Ashwari  watching frown. So this was the karma, I should have known, she thought.

It was evening when everyone came down to eat. Dev not seeing Maya decides to go and get her. His mom stops him,  saying one of the maids went to get her.  Dev    believing his mom agrees.

Unbeknown  to everyone,  Maya was asleep.  One of the maids came in and tried injecting her with poison. Before she could,  Maya eyes opened  like a snake. The woman  tried to quickly inject her, but Maya grab her hand and push her. 

Causing her to fall. Seeing how Maya is fully awake.  The maid gets up to leave. Maya  getting up to go after her falls on The floor, due to her weak state.

Downstairs Dev and family heard a noise coming from upstairs.  Dev gets up while saying Maya name. Ashwari  told them it was probably nothing,  but dev was already up and heading upstairs.

Ashwari  bite her lips in worry.  She hope the maid left before Dev enterd the room. She smile silently,  " it was nice knowing you Maya.  But I think my son can do better. "
