part 7

Ashwari searches for her mangatsu, she calls everyone out. Dev says he knows how important that is to her, he says he won't spare who ever took it.

Maya counsel her while she fake cry. Suddenly she fainted. Everyone became concern. Dev lifts her and carry her to the couch. While eyes close, she kept turning around , mumbling about forgiveness.

Dev sister says " mom really worried about her mangatsu. We have to search the house and car."

His other sister nod, " let's hurry before she wakes up."

They all agree before leaving her side. She crack her eyes open , smiling. " this will just be until my friends get here.

Few hours later........

When Ashwari friend arrive, they saw her sitting down. She was out of it. Dev sister bought them snacks and drinks, while maya and Dev watch from the sideline. " she still not herself, this is not good."

" I'm sure after a while she will say something"

Ashwari friends asks her , what was wrong, when she didn't respond, they became concerned. One of the friend while watching her realize she didn't have her mangatsu, she taunts her about being characterless. the rest noticed and insult her as well.

Dev and his sisters were all shock, he thought they would make his mom feel better, but he was wrong. angry, he told them to leave. When they left , he sat near his mom ...who was crying.  " ma... Dont listen to them, your not characterless. Your the most loyal woman I know, please stop crying."

Ashwari, gets up and  goes to her room and cry. Dev says we have to find that mangatsu or mother might end up starving to death. They all nod.

Dev search the rooms again and sees it under Maya pillow. Shock, he goes outside. The family came out when he said he found it.

One of his sisters asked where it was, and Dev look at maya. Everyone turn to her " why was this in your room. ma, was so worried and you pretend like you didn't have it"

Confused, maya shook her head " I didn't take it, I wouldn't do that to her"

Dev walk to her and grab her hand " don't lie to me maya. Why? This means a lot to mom, yet, you still took it. we treated you with kindness and gave you shelter, but I guess it was my fault."

" Dev, I didnt... Please believe me" She says , they both stare at each other. For a second he did, but he shook his head.

" enough, I dont want to hear your words.  you...you betrayed me"he says in anger while letting her go.

Ashwari  walks to maya and slaps her, " you poor excuse of a women , do you not feel another women pain"

Maya eyes waters, she beg her, but she push her causing her to fall. For a second, her weird behavior came back, but it was soon gone. Ashwari grab her hand and pull her up. She drags her out " get out, get out now and don't show yourself Again" she Says

Maya turns to Dev, telling him to help. Dev walk away to his room. Maya kept shouting for him, until she was thrown out. Ashwari smile at her " my son bringing you here was a mistake, before you cast a spell on my son, its best for you to leave."

Maya shook her Head, " I don't know how your mangatsu ended up in my room, I'm so sorry"

Ashwari laughs " poor thing since you won't be back I might as well tell you a secret. You didn't put it their.... I did"

Maya eyes widen, confused by this. Ashwari close the door in her face. And put on her sad face, she says " I thought she was a good girl, this is why I had told Dev not to bring just anyone in the house"

" she didn't look like the stealing type" His sister says

" that's why you should be careful, don't judge a book by its cover"

meanwhile, Maya standing there. Turn to leave. She was crying because Dev didn't help her. She didn't know where to go,  who to call. She had no one. Suddenly, it starts to rain. Maya ran away to look for shelter. she found a bus stop and sat their, recalling ashwari words.
