"Doctor Wells is the Reverse Flash?"
Everyone ignored her as though she had just said something that wasn't important. Instead, they watched Cisco repeatedly tap his mouse.
Bethany thought about Barry's statement before remembering everything Doctor Wells had ever done and even the few times he had spoken to her. He was a strange man, his glasses and wheelchair possibly hiding more secrets that she owned. Suddenly, everything made sense and the piece started to come together like a puzzle.
"Doctor Wells is the Reverse Flash," she repeated, but this time she said it factually.
"Why are you acting like this is the first time you've heard that, I told you about this a month ago." Bethany looked up from her feet to Barry who was watching her curiously, his arms were crossed over his chest and his hair was neatly combed.
"Sorry," her eyes slightly widened when she realized she was acting strange, "long day, I guess." He looked back towards the monitor dismissing her odd behavior.
Slowly, Bethany stepped towards the rounding desk to see several blueprints sliding on and off the screen. Her eyes drifted to the bottom left corner before anyone explained what was going on.
May 18, 2014
It was the same day, if not a day later, yet everything was different.
"What are the blueprints for?" Bethany couldn't wait any longer. She needed answers.
"After the accelerator exploded, I build a 3D model of StarLabs so I could pinpoint what caused the malfunction."
"And you've never run this test," Barry questioned leaning on the table to the left of Bethany.
"What test," she thought. "What have I done?"
"Of course I did. I just never had a reason to look at any areas outside of the pipeline or the Cortex."
"And what exactly are you trying to find," the blonde crossed her arms over her chest. Barry continued to give her odd looks.
"It's a big building. Lots of places for Wells to hide something."
As if on cue, the computer began to beep and one of the many rooms on the screen turned red.
"Woah," Cisco brought his index finger to the screen, "that shouldn't be there."
"Well, what is it," Bethany questioned, looking over Cisco's shoulder. They all turned around and glanced at each other before Cisco jumped out of his chair and grabbed a black light.
"Let's go find out."
They walked down one of many long hallways within StarLabs. Barry walked close to Bethany, their shoulders brushing every once in a while when the brunette turned his head towards the blonde and furrowed his eyebrows. Each time she would look up quickly, wondering what he was looking at but all he would do was turn back forward.
Eventually, Cisco stopped at a normal looking wall, angling the light towards it for any fingerprints. When several appeared, the browned eyed man turned with wide eyes towards Caitlyn and Barry before pulling out a smaller device that began to beep instantly.
"Tachyons."
Bethany was confused by what that meant, but, from the looks on everyone's faces, she was sure it wasn't good.
