DANNI'S POV
As soon as Emily shut the door behind her I felt a pang of pain spike in my chest. Had I been too forward to kiss her? Again? She said that whatever was going on between us couldn't happen but I didn't seem to be able to let go. We had only known eachother for two days but I felt like I had a genuine connection with the girl.
The fact that she was my pupil really sucked, I thought what we had would escalate but our teacher-pupil relationship was going to be a massive barrier. Too many factors came inbetween. What was I to do?
I left my classroom, grabbing my bag and making my way down the long corridor toward the reception. I wanted to go home, and think.
"You're off early aren't you?"
I turned to see Mr. Marsh. His blue eyes looking down at me.
"Uhm, yeah I have places to be." He frowned as if he didn't believe me. I couldn't see why I had to explain myself to him anyway. Ever since I had started at this school, he had been on my back constantly. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't bad looking. Especially today, his blonde curly hair swept back out of his face to show his icy blue eyes, he smiled down at me patronisingly. It was kind of irritating. I wasn't into men. I had never put any thought into my sexual preference simply because I knew I liked girls.
"Really? That's a shame, I was going to ask you out for a drink." Was this guy seriously hitting on me? I looked up to see his eyes drift down to my chest before looking up awkwardly, realising he had been caught.
"Sorry about that." I replied with more coldness than I intended but he needed to take the hint. I wasn't interested. I pushed past him and made my way to the car park, throwing my bag into the back seat of my car before climbing in and closing the door behind me, speeding off toward my house.
