Mullet Stan AU

I don't have an official name for this AU but I thought of it bc of Mullet!Stan so that's what I'll name it for now. I came up with this AU myself so I figured I'd write about it here because there's TOO MUCH to write about to just post it on my message board.

So this is an AU where Bella meets Stan while he's still homeless. The same age where he would have met that woman who stole his car. Meaning he meets Bella and NOT the other woman.

So he meets Bella after about six years (so age 23) while down in California. Stan does his whole pick-up line thing, more than expecting to get slapped again, but to his surprise she laughs?

So they get coffee together (well, Stan gets coffee, Bella gets cookies and milk) and Stan finds a hotel to stay in for a while because wow this girl is amazing and he wants to get to know Bella more.

Eventually Stan has to take off again (because some old enemy caught up to him or he gets banned from everywhere, idk) but he asks Bella to come with him and she agrees because she's always wanted to travel the world. And even though she has to leave her best friend she promises to keep in contact with him, and she also feels it would give her good ideas for another book (because by now she's already got one published).

And so Mullet!Stan and Bella are on the move and they get into all kinds of shit (which do indeed give Bella story ideas, inspiring her to write a book called Mullet Man! and the main character is based off of Stan) but they stick together no matter what happens. They don't have THAT much money, because even though Bella has a book published, authors don't earn all that much. So Stan still does some... illegal stuff.

And they stick together even when Bella becomes pregnant (with twins!) and they decided to settle down somewhere (which happens to be in a small apartment in New Mexico). And Stan still has to try and hide from Rico and he really ends up protecting his family no matter what.

When Stan gets the postcard from Ford, the twins' (who were two girls they named Ella and Marcella, after two friends Bella had in school) second birthday is only a week or two away. They leave their home in New Mexico and drive up to Gravity Falls, Oregon with the twins. (I don't know where to mention that Bella has become a bit worried, because Fiddleford has stopped answering her phone calls, and Ford hasn't picked up either.)

And Ford is surprised to see Bella alongside his twin, and he's even more surprised when he sees that they had kids.

But nonetheless, Ford still shows Stan the portal and the journal, because the plan must continue. Bella stays upstairs with the twins, becoming even more worried when Fiddleford is nowhere to be seen, because he said that he was staying with Ford in this shack. And so the plot goes on, because Ford goes whoopsi-daisies right through the portal and now the small Pines family has a new home.

They move all the baby furniture up to the shack and set it up in Ford's old room, and they all sleep in there until Stan and Bella move to their own room once the twins grow too big to stay in the cribs.

Bella can't help with the portal, since she has to take care of Ella and Marcella, but she does do some studying upstairs while Stan works and when she doesn't have the muse to do any writing.

When the twins are three, Bella ends up getting pregnant again, this time with a boy, and here comes along Lee.

And after that most stuff according to canon plays out, with the added addition of taking care of three kids because I'm a sucker for any AU where Stan and Bella are able to have kids.

So when Dipper and Mabel visit Gravity Falls, Marcella sends her son Brandon (14), Ella sends her twin son Tyler and daughter Taylor (9), and Lee sends his daughter Jenny (12) there as well so they can spend the summer with their grandparents.

So with the house full of three 12-year-olds, two 9-year-olds, and a 14-year old (six kids in total), it's definitely a bit cramped. Dipper, Mabel, and Jenny share the attic, while Brandon, Taylor, and Tyler share Ford's (and Ella and Marcella's) old room.

Mabel and Jenny get along quite well and enjoy flirting with boys together. Brandon is usually the one looking after the young twins, but sometimes doesn't do such a good job.

Because of the rooming, certain episodes and events can't really happen. Or at least happen in a different way.

For example, when Dipper complains about Mabel and Jenny, he asks to move into the other room with his other cousins. Brandon doesn't want this, because the room is already cramped as it is. So a competition between THEM happens; if Dipper wins he gets to move into the room. If Brandon win, Dipper stays in the attic. They end up finding the carpet hidden in the closet and switch bodies. If we throw Trans!Dipper into the mix, Brandon finds out Dipper is trans this way.

I'm not sure what else to say with this AU, but I'll be adding more chapters as I think stuff up.
