I went with the song Our Song by Ron Pope because it describes Nikita and Sean's relationship. Maybe tells their story a bit? Its nice eh? Then there is a picture of Sean with some face cream on his face. Most likely Nikita left him alone in her room too long and he thought to try some stuff out. There will be more candid photo's of Sean to come. Sean is far from boring.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nikita
“I’ve noticed something.”
“And what’s that?” My word choice sounded sarcastic but my tone wasn’t.
Sean was laying on his back on my bed reading an X-Men comic book. I could only imagine what Blake would say about that. Funny that he would be laying in the same spot Blake had been the night before. I think he was bummed out that he missed Blake leaving a few hours earlier. He even woke up before noon to see if he could catch him.
“If you read as many books as you read comic books maybe you wouldn’t have to worry about failing any of your classes,” would be something he’d say.
My back was facing Sean so he didn’t see the sideways grin on my face. I was watching The Munsters which was something I also grew up watching with my father.
“You used to be sarcastic?”
“Old habits die hard.”
“Point taken.”
“So what’s your point?” I turned in my seat by my dresser to look at him. My chin was resting on the back of the chair.
“That Blake and you have more in common than I thought.”
“When did you get so observant?” I was teasing him. Sean could be observant if he wanted to. Especially when it came to people he cared about.
If he tried to hide it, I started to wonder why.
I was debating on whether or not I should ask when there was a light knock on the door. My dad pushed my bedroom door open with ease. It was open as a rule but sometimes I left open only an inch. My dad gave a short look at Sean who barely noticed. It was a look that suggested, ‘You’re still here huh.’
“Yes dad?” I sat in the chair backwards. Maybe Sean was rubbing off on me too.
“You should leave your door a little wider open,” he said and I noticed he was wearing a new suit. “I just wanted to say goodbye before I leave again.” My heart slightly fell at that and saw it in my face, “Just remember to give your Aunt Maggie a hug and a kiss for me.”
“You’re going to be gone that long?” I was about to give him an earful.
“Remember who the parent is here,” he chided me and my cheeks puffed up. That was an old habit I picked up since I was four.
Instead of being intimidating I would only look cute.
My dad smiled and let out a wheezy laugh, “Sometimes you are still my little girl.” Blake was going to have to teach me a thing or two about being intimidating.
“And you,” my father motioned to my boyfriend. Sean sat up, comic book forgotten and pointed at himself clueless. This was feeling like it would be the start of an endless war. “Shoe’s off the bed.”
I hadn’t heard that rule around here in a long time. Then I figured out that my dad was doing everything he could to keep Sean on his toes. At least when he was around. I suppressed the urge to roll my eyes at this I’m-the-man-around-here-so-therefore-makes-me-the-alpha charade.
