"Prism?" Someone was gently shaking her awake.
"Hrmmmm?" Prism tucked her head further under her wing, not wanting to wake up.
"We have battle training soon, and Mirage and I have been looking for you."
Prism yawned and sleepily opened her eyes, seeing Iguana. "Oh, hi, Iguana." She realized he looked a bit uncomfortable. "Is everything alright?"
"Well," he said, not exactly meeting her eyes, "Could I ask you something? It's about Mirage."
"Yeeeeea?" Prism tried her very hardest not to grin.
"Well.... I really like her."
"Of course you do."
"And I was thinking - wait, you know? How?" Iguana looked panicked.
"I know because a blind baboon could tell," Prism replied, giving him a friendly shove.
"Does Mirage know?" he asked worriedly. "Is she fine with that?"
Prism looked around, making sure her friend wasn't eavesdropping on their conversation, then lowered her voice. "She's delighted."
Iguana grinned, wider than she'd ever seen. "Whoa, really? I mean that's great! I mean - Thanks, Prism. I owe you one." His scales were slightly pink, but Prism could tell he tried to keep them at a serious dark green.
"Well, go talk to her, you goof!" Prism laughed encouragingly. "Escort her to battle practice or something."
"I will," he promised. "Thanks again!" He took off, and Prism couldn't help but giggle a bit.
"Ah, well," she told herself aloud. "Guess I'd better get going."

The training session was in the same place as the day before. Mirage was the last to arrive with Iguana, though they were on time, and the other RainWings, who were Citrus, Hyacinth, Poinsettia, Mango, Starfruit, and Prism, came to a total of eight.
Mirage rushed over to Prism. "Where were you this morning?" she asked, relieved to see her friend was safe.
"I just took a short flight last night and fell asleep."
"Yeah, Iguana told me he'd found you." Mirage turned back to look at him, and he waved. Mirage blushed a bit, then blurted out in a whisper, "I think he likes me."
Prism rolled her eyes. Was love really this blind? "Of course he likes you," she hissed back.
Mirage opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted by General Tsunami entering the clearing, swatting at the vines tripping her.
"Stupid vines, stupid mosquitoes, stupid rainforest- " Her muttering cut off as she realized that she'd made it to the clearing. "Oh. Well anyway, welcome to your one-day training session. I guess we'll have two days if the NightWings attack after the sun goes down, but you get the gist."
The RainWings nodded, and Tsunami went on. "We'll start off with stretches." She paused to swat at a mosquito. "And not just the 'reach in a certain direction' stuff." She met their eyes. "We're getting serious here."
EVERYBODY LOVES KUNG FU FIGHTIN! *imagines the RainWings doing slo-mo kung fu*
That'd be fun. Anyway, vote if ya liked it, don't if ya didn't.
Note: Man, I'm rereading through this and it's all so short! I'll see what revisions I can make here.
