Balancing love

The music festival

The nest day we spent swimming. I like to read so I paddle boarded out to the middle of the lake to read on the water. This is my ensemble of the morning:

I paddled back in and I was still dry so I just went back inside. It was about 9:30 and everyone was finally up. My mom then told us that there was a music festival happening up at the ski resort. We were friends with the people who owned the resort and apparently my mom told them that team ten would perform. "Did this slip your mind earlier? Why didn't you tell us sooner? What time are we performing at?" I asked freaking out that she hadn't told us this before. "Relax you don't perform until one. And in exchange for you guys performing he's giving you guys a couple of rooms up there for the night so that you can also enjoy the festival." She said. "But because it was kind of a last minute arrangement there are only 5 rooms for all ten of you." She said. "That's okay but how are we supposed to perform? We can do a meet and greet but our only live performer is AJ and he didn't come." Jake said. "Well you can do like a question answering session on stage and Ane can perform." My mom said very calmly. "I can?" I asked confused and a little freaked out. "You have a lovely voice. You can go up and sing." "Mom I haven't sang in front of people in at least a year." I said. "Wait! You can sing?" Tessa asked. "I'll sing In front of people if Tessa dances!" I blurted out. "Okay I'll do it." Tessa said very willingly. She wasn't supposed to want to do it! "Well I guess I'm singing." I said while I was freaking out inside. "We should all get ready and head up the mountain to the resort so we can ask about the meet and greet. We should also post on snapchat and Instagram that at one we will be performing on the main stage so some people will come." I said. Then we all headed to our rooms to get changed. This is what I wore:

Yes! I wore heels. I need to look good while I'm on stage humiliating myself. We piled into the team ten van and headed to the resort. It was now 11 and were we walking around and meeting fans. We found out our meet and greet was going to be at 2:00ish after our performance.
We found our rooms. The hotel was divided into small apartment like buildings all over the resort with about 12 rooms in each of them. They all had a different name. All our rooms were separated in different buildings because it was so last minute. Erika and Nick were in the building named "Wild flower". Kade and Jake were in "Ski lift". Anthony and Chance were in "Bikers Cabin". And finally there were the last two rooms in the same building. Emilio, Ivan, Tessa and I were in "Sunset Heights". It was further away from the rest of the resort and was like a 10 minute walk to get anywhere, which is not bad but we were told we were to stay here because we are the youngest members and are in better "shape". We wondered around until 1 and then went to the stage. It was time.
