The campus was well situated, nestled in one of the greenest places in the area. It stretched on for acres. The college itself was huge, many stories high, built with a modern outlook. The sunlight reflected off the sparking glass structure.

The hospital was situated nearby, milling with patients who could afford to pay the high medical bills. It had always bothered me, how such facilities could be made available to only the rich.

I was hoping to earn enough to built my own clinic and start off small before building my large scale medical empire! Yes, I dream big...

I went into the reception, cool air blasting into me as soon as I stepped in. It was a relief in this hot weather.

"Morning Priya!"  I turned towards the sound of my best friend, Aishwarya.

She was beautiful, with her brown skin, and sharp features. Her eyes were a lovely hazel. Today, her straight hair was braided. It was darker at the top and lighter as it went on. She had it slung over one of her shoulders.

"Hi Aish!"  I gave her a quick hug. And went over to sign in. She followed me, filling me up on the day's news.

"There's a new recruit! His name is Anirudh...." She squealed. "He's cute!"

I rolled my eyes, typical Aish behavior.

"There he is!" She pointed at him.

"Aish! It's rude to point!" I scolded, barely glancing at him. He was surrounded by the rest of the young professors, seemingly fit in.

I continued to the staff room. "So, what do you think?" She asked bouncing next to me.

"I hardly looked at him. I don't really care...."

I made my way over to my table and picked up my schedule.

I mainly take biochemistry and pharmacology for MBBS students but I'm a neurosurgeon by profession.

Yes, I'm very versatile.

Aishwarya huffed. "Urgh! Alright, I'm off to class then, bye! " She took anatomy for MD students.

I laughed and promised to meet up with her later.
I grabbed my notes, pen, wore my coat and started towards my class.

As I went down the corridor I heard someone walking towards me. I turned around. I think it's the new guy. He came towards me, "I think this is yours." He handed me my pen.

He was tall and I must admit-good looking.
He had on funky looking Ray Bans. He had thick black hair framing his face and an angular jaw. His lips were full, with a thin line of hair above his upper lip.

He left without waiting for a thanks.

Hmm, must've dropped it on the way. I pushed open the classroom door and entered.
