Lottie stared at the numbers hard for approximately 2 seconds before noticing a pattern. They were in the five times table. So whoever wrote this was substituting letters for numbers or something like that. Lottie wrote down the letters of the alphabet making A,5,B,10,C,15....and so on. In 1 minute she had got the message,"Buy a car, love." Lottie snorted and rolled over onto her stomach. In 3 seconds she started laughing. She was a easy laugher and found herself laughing at the most stupid things. One time a plump boy called Maximilian blurted out "Grisly Bear!" in the middle of a French lesson because there was the word,"Gris." Lottie started laughing her head of whilst the rest of the class was stone cold silent. Yep, afterwards Lottie was in a awkward situation with everyone staring at her like she was a piece of gum under their foot.

"oh come on Lot," Lottie said to herself,"Stop being a complete idiot and work this out!" She punched the bed for the fifth time. "What could 'buy a car, love' and even mean!?" She thought about it for a while. Nothing. She tried again. Still nothing. "Gosh your majesty! Did you know a 13 year-old girl cannot possibly drive?" Lottie tossed the letter aside. "So don't ask me to buy a car missy!" Irritated, Lottie spat out her chewing gum into the bin rudely, and walked out of the room attempting to get the message out of her head. A 13-year-old simply can't just go and by a car just for the sake of it, she thought, unless they happen to be stupidly rich. But Lottie wasn't and still wasn't sure on what the Queen actually meant. If she ran her own agency, surely there was a hidden message in the clue. She sighed and walked slowly down the narrow staircase to the ground floor but paused in her tracks. Someone had rung the doorbell. Half-expecting it to be the Queen, Lottie quickly practised a curtsy (which was a complete fail.Lottie was not the type of person to curtsy with ease) and scurried over to the door with a shaking hand. She paused, then after hearing a brisk cough, yanked the door open.

"Apologies," Lottie began politely....

"Whaaaaaaaaat? Are you actually being polite? YOU!?" Lottie blushed fast when she looked up to see Millie yet another one of her friends, with her hand over her mouth in attempt to hold back explosive laughter.

"Nah, just thought it would be on of those posh folks," replied Lottie, still pink. Millie scratched her head and handed over Lottie a small piece of paper which had a love heart drawn in pink pen over the top of it then flew into a fit of uncontrollable giggles. Lottie didn't have to think twice to know who had written this note, Timothy Smupett who more better known as' Muppet.' Lottie briefly glanced at the note, sighed, laughed, then ripped it to shreds.

"He is obsessed with you now Lot!"cried Millie her pigtails dancing,"Oh poor thing!" Lottie grinned picturing him scribbling her name in the corners of his books. She didn't even have to try to be popular with the boys with her striking appearance, her shiny, golden locks fell perfectly below her shoulders and her deep hazel eyes gave her a beautiful image. Most boys had a crush on her but Timothy had by far the biggest. But Lottie hated him. Who likes a boy who sticks a pen up his nose?! A freak that is and Lottie wasn't that!

Lottie sighed. "How bad now?" she asked, passing a KitKat bar over to Millie who smiled and licked her lips. KitKat's were her favourites.

"So bad he painted a picture of you in Art class but pretended it was his cousin," said Millie, laughing,"Then made poor old Elliott Smith do the same." Millie chewed hard on her KitKat. "But his was a fail" Lottie snorted. Elliott was hopeless at Art. She probably looked like a angry monkey in the picture.

"You wanna come to Sugar Lump?" asked Millie, "lets take the bikes!" Lottie nodded and fetched her bike as well as Millie's spare one that her 8 year old sister (Madison) had but never used. Millie was so unusually small with blazing blue eyes and pale brown hair that curled sweetly at her shoulders. Just an inch smaller and she'd look like a doll.

Millie and Lottie sped of to the cafe that claimed to make 'everything chocolatey and sweet' and really did live up to everyone's expectations. Millie literally lived in that place and got free supplies from her aunt who worked there. Lottie grabbed a seat next to Jo and smarty-pants-Sally who was the groups 'calculator' at the most 'necessary' of times. Millie was at the counter pleading her aunt for several hot chocolates and multiple donuts. Her aunt smiled and handed her a tray of sugar coated donuts just when her fellow colleges weren't looking. Millie ran of muttering a kind and much appreciated word of thanks to her aunt then arrived to join the group.

"So," said Jo,"Hows life?"

"As dull as ever!" said Lottie rolling her eyes. She'd decided not to mention the letter to her friends in case they completely flipped out and told everyone. You never know how people will react when you say something incredible and unusual. They can go crazy and tell the world or promise to keep it a secret but blurt it out at the wrong time. Millie shoved a donut into her mouth and gulped it down in seconds.

"Well Timoth-" Lottie made a face. "Ok Lot I won't.......Oh I can't help it!!! Sorry! TIMOTHY WROTE ANOTHER LOVE NOTE WITH A REALLY PINK LOVE-HEART TO LOTTIE!!!!" Lottie put her head in her hands as the all people in the cafe turned to stare at her.

"Talk about complete public embarrassment," muttered Lottie as her friends began to laugh.

"Sorry Lots," Millie said,"I just couldn't help it! You know what I'm like with love stuff!" Jo sniffed.

"Sorry Lot," she mumbled,"Oh and that new book is epic. Ma new obsession! "

Smarty-Pants-Sally snorted,"Good you finally got over Queenie B," she said,"That book was way to young for you!"

"Nothings to young," said Jo,"Season 2 is coming out soon! I'm gonna get it!" Lottie sighed.

"Jo,I hope that season takes over a decade to come out then maybe you will have grown up a bit!" Jo blushed and muttered something about hoping to find a less grown up group of friends. She was kidding though, she always was.

" Any proper news?" asked the tall, slender, Sally tossing her black hair over her shoulders.

"Buy a car ,love!" cried Millie,"That annoying advert for Big-Better-Cars came up again!" The group sighed-all but Lottie. She couldn't believe her ears! It all made sense now! The Queen was meeting her somewhere near Big-Better-Cars! Now she'd just have to find the place.
