He looked at her. She looked back, shaking. It was time. Their hopes and dreams were all riding on this and at any second could be destroyed. Kai gestured quickly at the massive building, hinting that he was ready. Lottie shuddered. The game was about to begin. When caught it could be the end of your dream, your chance. She couldn't let that happen. Never. But if the "seekers" found you in your hiding place or running away...it was over. Hide and Seek really could be deadly. It was Lottie's worst nightmare...getting caught. Caught, found, seen, spotted, captured...the enemy often wins.

Her heart was beating like thunder in her chest. She froze, eyes wide, trying not to let the loud scream explode from inside. Why was she so worked up? Lottie never got scared. Caught.... Just thinking of it caused the hairs down her neck to stand up and tears to come to her eyes.

"Whats wrong with you Lot?" asked Kai noticing her terrified expression,"We need to go!" Lottie remained standing tense and frighted. She was prey, they were predators. They were hunting for her...

"Do you want to be an agent?" said Kai nervously,"I don't want to be...alone." Lottie looked at him. At least he was here. If they stuck together they wouldn't be as easily harmed if they got caught. And her dream to be an agent was as strong as ever. Here was her chance. If only it wasn't so hard. She took one last nervous glance at the large, threatening building then nodded at Kai.

Now....

They bolted at the building, turned fast and went speeding towards the back door. It was Kai's plan they wouldn't be as easily seen by granddad who would be standing at the front. But one of the guards saw them out of the corner of his ice cold eyes. He let out a thunderous scream and pointed at them with a bony finger. The guards he begun their chase.

"hurry!" cried Kai as they turned another corner in the building. He was breathing like a dog in the sun, desperate not to be found. Lottie upped her speed and ran beside him, attempting to ignore the loud sound of a creaking door somewhere behind her. They would be coming...any guard would do that! she told herself, look for things you could get under but not obvious ones...hidden ones.

"we need to look!" cried Lottie, trying to hide the fact that she was panicking,"NOW!" Kai nodded and the two of them looked frantically around them for anything that could lead them to a lower floor....to HQ. Lottie tried a floor board but there was nothing but earth below it. Kai tried an odd looking door but was presented with a wall. He sighed and carried on running muttering something about the fact that that door should have been removed ages ago. Lottie thought she heard running feet. She shook herself. Maybe it was just her imagination?

Then was a flash that ran past her eye. She turned and ran towards it wondering how light could possibly leak into a building like this. A crack! Lottie turned and studied the room...something caught her eyes. Yes, there definitely was a crack in that wall. She reached over with a trembling hand and was just about to...

"CAUGHT RED-HANDED!"

Lottie didn't have to turn. She knew was now...caught.

The large, muscular man with intense, icy blue eyes grasped her by the shoulder and tossed her high into the air over his shoulders. Lottie hung, frozen and tried her hardest to remember with agent Robyn had done in this situation.

"I've waited too long ROBYN," snapped Justine. She clicked her fingers and flashed a hideous smile at Robyn who lay battered on the floor from exhaustion. Justine had shot her with some of dart and Robyn suddenly felt like she hadn't slept for at least a decade. Her whole body had completely weakened to the strengths of a 2 year-old child. Now she'd be eaten alive by the might of Justine and her blood thirsty friends.

"Oooooh Boris," cooed Justine,"I have a friend you'd like to play with!" Whoever "Boris" was Robyn didn't think she wanted to see him.Whatever he was going to do to her would be no teddies tea party. "C'mon Boris!! Don't leave the child waiting!" If Robyn had the strength, she would have slapped Justine for saying that she was a 'child.' How is a 14 year old girl working for a secret undercover agency a child? If Robyn had the facts right Justine was only 1 year older than her and she really couldn't say she was a child.

"I not a child," mumbled Robyn weakly. Justine snorted.

"Ya A CHILD TO MEH!" Robyn was about to fall out laughing as Justine had just put on the most deep, rough, unladylike voice but something had hauled her off her feet so fast that the wind had left her throat and she passed out.

"see you've met Boris love!" hissed Justine,"have a nice play date!"

In mid-sleep Robyn felt her head touch something cold and smooth. She rubbed her hand along it until she felt a sharp point. Her dagger. She began thinking and then lifted the blade high above her head... she stabbed him....

Lottie grinned at the last sentence. "She stabbed him..." So she needed something sharp. But what? She thought about it for a second and then smiled. Would a ready sharpened pencil do? She picked it out of her pocket quickly, raised it above her head and... made a nice little hole in his skin.

The guard let out a shrill scream-louder than Lottie imagined, really he should be a singer!- and Lottie jumped down and made a run for the room. She bumped into Kai who gone into the other room by mistake and lost Lottie for a while.

"I think I found the room!" cried Lottie," If you look here by the crack there's a door shape! The crack kind of acts as a door handle! You put your fingers in it and pull!" Kai looked as if he was about to explode.

"You are the smartest girl I know!" he yelled,"So who's opening it?" Lottie smiled.

"I will!" And she placed her fingers in the hole and pulled harder than ever. What happened next seemed at the speed of light.

Lottie pulled the door open hard to reveal a tiny passage way in complete darkness. She turned to Kai, who was standing frozen solid, eyes wide and mouth hanging open in shock. "This is really it!" he cried,"The agency." Lottie snorted at that comment.

"Don't be stupid, a small passage way to me looks like the route to the agency, not the agency itself." Kai went pink. He hated being wrong, so he just laughed at his stupidity and followed Lottie in silence.

It seemed to get darker and darker as they walked on and soon there was no light to guide them. Lottie was alright though, she was used to darkness as when she was younger her father used to shut her in the airing cupboard when she was naughty or in her case "got a little hungry and stole a little portion of food." Clearly her father didn't think that was the truth...it wasn't.

Lottie turned a corner, her hands held out in front of her and walked nervously on. But something caught her attention. The ground seemed to be vibrating. Or something was. She paused for a second, to see if it was just her imagination, but it wasn't. She definitely felt something. Nerves clouded her senses and she cried out for Kai. There was no response. "KAI!" she called again, her voice shaking. No one. "perfect," she muttered to herself,"just brilliant. Leave me then!" She walked on, the vibrations gradually getting bigger and bigger below her feet until she felt like she was just going to topple over like a domino. She wanted to scream like a troubled child and sprint back out into the light but her legs wouldn't agree with her and she kept walking on despite how much her mind protested against it.

"Another...step," mumbled Lottie to herself,"Keep goooing!" Cautiously, she stepped forwards wobbling and stumbling. Then out of nowhere came a massive thunderous vibration like an earthquake which sent Lottie flying into the ceiling with a mighty crash. She screamed and lurched forward as she went crashing below into nothingness...

All she remembered was a tunnel and she was falling faster than ever...than lighting. There was lights everywhere flashing in her face, bright ones too. It was like there was a whole galaxy contained in one small, tight place. There was noises as well, like small muffled whispers in the walls...she thought she heard her name and a number alongside it,"Lottie Lawson, agent 0055 has finally arrived.
