All the Saturday morning, I always wake up at nine or ten because I enjoy surfing through internet forum overnight when everyone's sleepy, since it has helped me to keep myself sane, showing me that around the world were existing other people like me living free. It has always been an escape to my homophobic surrounding.
Checking my alarm, I saw that it was only seven past ten. No wonder why I was still groggy.
My empty stomach make me stood up and running toward the kitchen, where everyone were having breakfast. My heart skipped a beat and started hammering when I heard what they were talking about.
"Good morning Donna, take a seat. You're early today! I don't usually see you before nine o'clock"
My mom smiled at me, handing me my plate." Good morning mom, you're right, I'm still doxy. Thanks."
I give her a genuine smile and was heading to the balcony when my big sister voice stopped me." Good morning don', do you hear what we have witnessed in our school yesterday? Our gatekeeper found two boys making out in the boys toilet. Seriously! Two boys?? When I think that they were having their affair near my classroom! Ugh! Ugh! It makes me sick!"
Sitting, I stared at her with wonder, faking compassion.
" Wow! Seriously??"
Turning to my mom, who works at the same school like a secretary general, I asked full of concern not for them, but for the two boys." What will be their punishment? Because the Last time people caught same gender students making out in other schools, the have them beat and send in jail by force. I do believe that you're administration will take into account that they aren't only deaf and dumb, but also have social issues."
Still staring at my mom, I pleaded persuasively knowing that if someone could help them in this school it was her. She could avoid harmful treatments.
She tilted her head, sign that she was thinking, and was about to speak when my big brother, Lou, who was leaning against the doorway eating, suddenly started to cough. By the look of it, he had swallowed his meal by the wrong side.
He sat in the table we us and put his fork loudly on the table glaring at me in bewilderment, like I was an unholy extraterrestrial specimen send here to blasphemy mankind rules.
" That's non sense! Seriously! Things like that don't have to exist, our law is too flexible about them. Personally, if I find one in my way, I'll beat his soul out of his body, it doesn't matter who. I don't know Why. On. Earth. you always want to defend the undefendable!!? Geez, seriously Donna! Seriously! All kinds of faggot like those don't worth any kind of attention. They. Deserve. To. Die!"
He insisted hitting the table with all his strength, still glaring at me. He has always been a pure homophobe, just looking at him, his face and body language was reflecting pure hatred.
I shivering both with fear and resentment because of the way they have to speak about homosexuals, though they don't know that I was one of them.
" Calm down it's not with me! I'm just saying that, because they didn't know that what they did was forbidden" I uttered holding my hands up.
Regaining my self control, I faked him a smile, shaking my head from side to side. Nonchalantly, I took my fork, and started eating my meals, while hearing them still speaking about that, with all the venom they have.
Continued to play this game was exhausting me, but I have to keep doing it for me safety.
