chapter nineteen

Times went by very quickly and it was almost Saturday morning, it was incredible! it was a matter of time and I will be out of this town.

One day ago I have said goodbye to my family, packed all our stuff and now watching TV in the living room, we were waiting for Patrick to go to the airport, while Kristen was in her office packing some important stuff. Finally! I'll be free to do what I want and the most important part of that, I will be with Kristen.

A small voice brought me back to the reality

" Donna! Donna! Patrick will be coming soon? Elisa said me that in California they have great malls, parks and attractions. Will we do the merry go round, um? Please!!!"

She was very excited too. She was jumping around us, I haven't seen her like that once.  While laughing, Elisa carried her in the couch and started tickling her. They were both happy to leave with their mother unlike the previous doubt of Elisa brothers.

In one month Elisa has changed for good, they have seen that and was just jealous, because Kristen was acting more motherly with her than she had been with them.

Elisa pulled me in the couch where they were, staring at me with her eyes full of hope. frowning, sign that she was thinking hardly, she shift her gaze from Elena to me, took a deep breath.

" Will we.., um do you think that, you know, umm" she was suddenly uncomfortable and was playing with her fingers.

I lifted her chin up, gazing in her eyes.
" Darling, you know that you can tell my whatever you want, right?"

Taken aback, her eyes opened wide.

" You,you just called me darling. It's true? You never did this! You only called Elena princess."

I haven't realised that this would bothered her, but it did because she was about to cry.

I Hugged her until she felt better and let her go, stroking her cheek and staring at her tenderly.
" Hey baby, you are also a princess! You know what?" She shook her head staring at me with expectations.

" Starting from now, I will also call you princess and whatever you want,umm!"
She jumped to my neck hugging me, I motioned Elena to join us.

"You two are my baby. Don't doubt that! Okay?" They nodded still in my embrace.
Pulling back, both were staring at me weirdly.

" Hey guys, what is the problem now?"

After a while of debating whether or not to tell me, Elisa took a deep breath and relax after staring into my eyes.
" Will you mind if we calls you mom!?"

Wow! They wanted me to be their second mother!? I was speechless, just staring at them in awe. spreading a goofy smile in my face, I hugged them again.

" Sure! I will like to! But I don't know if you're mommy will.."

I was speaking to them when Kristen, who was staring at us for a while leaning again the doorway, cut me with a cough, entered, directly heading to us.

Staring straight into my eyes, every time she did that it sent me in heaven. I swallowed hardly, because of the lump in my throat. Sitting in the couch with her gaze shifting to her children to me, she smiled at me tenderly.

" I want you to be their second mother. Sure, I want us to be a family. But"
Turning to our children frowning in concern

" As far as we are here, don't say anyone. Promise? When we'll be abroad then you'll call her mom. Okay!?"

Very excited, they hugged us both.
" Sure mommy, don't worry, will wait!"

We heard the doorbell rang, signal that Patrick, was already here to escort us to the airport.
