Just as I left with June Eden called out to me and said he'll stay with Tess for a 'sleepover'.  Yea right. June decides to leave Olivia at Tess's place for the night, because she had fallen asleep. I take in the fresh air from the outside, and I look around. June's right behind me, concentrating really hard on something, on my back. I whip around, about to ask her what she's staring at, and she just starts a laughing. I get a strange feeling.. it's been smelling like a hair salon and everyone kept laughing at me. Oh no. I run my hand through my hair. "What did you do to me?!"

"Is something wrong?" June says as she flutters her eyes and pretends not to notice. This girl's innocence makes just want to sweep her into my arms and kiss the night away. Wait I'm supposed to be mad. I shift my feelings to playful anger.

"You better start talking young missy, or I will let out my full wrath on you and-"

"Shhhh" June puts her fingers to my lips. I like the direction this is heading.
"I think we are being followed." June whispers while grabbing my hand. Nevermind I don't.

We shoot out into a deadly sprint and out of the corner of my eye I see a figure flash by. Too hard to tell who or what it was it was.

We duck into the elevator at the end of the hall. I let out a small breath that I didn't even realize I was holding.

The calming elevator music is just tedious and June seems to be falling asleep. "Rise and shine sweetheart" I tell her as we hit the first floor. I keep my body tense, just in case anyone decides to attack us as we come out.

There wasn't anybody there, except the janitor. He was jamming out to some song with a mop. Just like in the movies, I thought and laughed to myself.

"By the way nobody was following us." June says to me while walking away towards the door.

"Liar. I saw some shadowy figure when we ran." I reply to her. "And if nobody was spying on us, who was that?"

"Just a trick of the light Day, just a trick of the light." June smiles. "Plus I wanted to see how fast you could run in case of a real danger."

"Well... a little FYI," I fire back at her sarcastically," I was a high ranked captain back in Antarctica." She gives me a mischievous grin.

I run my hand through my hair, although it's short now. Just an old habit I guess.

The rest of the way there, we exchanged some small talk, nothing noteworthy. Or at least not until we got to her door.

"We're here now." Her tone has a hint of sleepiness to it. She reaches for the door knob but I put my hand on it first.

We briefly brush our hands against one another. June turns around and looks at me. I see the golden specks in her eyes, shining from the moonlight. They are so beautiful, I just want to do nothing more than sweep her up and off her feet.

I try to hold myself back, but I can't. I pull her in for a kiss, but she just stands there frozen for a second. Too soon? I pull away, and look into her eyes and ask for her permission.

After a moment she wraps her hands around my neck and we start kissing. I get a sensation, like I've never kissed any other girl in my life.
