Flame is my male crested gecko (known by reptile keepers as cresties) in the picture above he is partially fired up. He is around two years old at the time of writing, and his morph is unknown as he shows the characteristics of many morphs. We were told that he was a flame crested gecko so we usually just say that is what he is. Flame was my second reptile and was the reason I bought Velvet. My first reptile was a golden harlequin crested gecko called Gem. Unfortunately I did not have it long enough to determine its gender as it escaped and was killed by a cat. Flame's favourite food happens to be banana! He used to like cucumber but will no longer eat it. He is very finicky with his food and likes to be hand fed unless crickets are on the menu. The crickets are released into his enclosure for him to hunt whenever he likes. He also has a habit of suddenly jumping onto random objects, mainly me!
