"Abby, could you shine the light over here, please?"

"Oh, yeah, sure." They had a flexible lamp on, and guided the light onto specific papers that they wanted observable. She positioned the lamp so it was on the fingerprint affidavit.

"Okay, so it says here that the fingerprint matches with a man named Edward Hall." He flipped over to a new page and scanned through the document. "Let's see here. Sex, male. Age, 38. Occupation, gas station cashier. Spouse, Alaina Hall." He read to himself for a few seconds. "Hey, Abby. Make note of this."

"Of what exactly?"

"Write this down, Edward Hall was arrested prior to the murder of James Hensworth for stealing money from a gas station; approximately $1,200. And it says here, that he had also been drinking and driving after the burglary and crashed into a tree next to a police station in Kentucky."

"Wow, how ironic, yet convenient." Abby said amazed. She repositioned the lamp in the meantime.

"So this is the guy..."

"Hmm."

Aaron continued, "They used a breathalyzer to confirm that he was drunk; he was at 1.8, and arrested him for twenty-four months. This misdemeanor, the collision from driving under the influence, and the burglary set himself the twenty-four month sentence." He flipped the paper over to see if anything else was on there, and to his surprise, there was a note. "Hey Abby, check this out. A letter by Alaina Hall?" He handed her the letter, and Abby read,"

Dear Officer,

I would like to apologize for ranting on about the murder of James Hensworth. But will repeat that my husband was not a part of this manslaughter. If you could please contact me by this number, 555 - 1754, I would happily tell you in more detail what really happened with my husband.

Thank you,

Alaina Hall"

"Interesting. She left her number. Do you think we should call her?"

"I don't know Aaron, would it be wise to get the info on what supposedly happened to Edward Hall." she said this sarcastically, but inconspicuous enough that Aaron thought it was a legitimate question.

"My guess is very wise. I mean, it's more info on the case, so it would be helpful to get."

"Then it's settled, we'll call her in the morning, when the informant of the CDJ begins working with us."

"Oh, is that tomorrow?"

"Yes, it is."

"Good, good. So next up, it's the description of the scene by witnesses." He took another sip of his coffee, and Abby took over the reading,

"One witness says, and I quote, 'They yelled at him a lot, until they held him up against the table and started punching him in the gut. They both kicked his legs, and then pushed him onto the floor. The other guy took out the knife from his pocket and stabbed him in the chest, I think like ten or twenty times. After that, we were all gone. We left that place as fast as we could."

"Oh, God. That's brutal." said Aaron in disbelief, and twiddled his thumbs in awe.

"When we went back to our car, a motion sensor light turned on in the backyard and we saw them run into the trees. That's when we called the cops.' end quote. Unbelievable. That was a lot more morbid than I first thought."

"Same here, Abby." Abby put the papers down, and was still shocked by the way the witnesses described Hensworth's murder.

"Was there anything else?"

"Well, yeah. But they're just the questions that were asked to the witnesses with their answers."

"What were they?"

"Well for starters, the murder weapon was a normal kitchen knife." Abby looked at the bottom of the page and noticed something, "Huh. There's some jumbled up letters on here."

"7_euagLe-fo-nAyntmyoi_63-#X"

"Uh, probably just a typo, or the source code for the information."

"I think you may be right." She read some more of the page, and didn't find any other lore that wasn't already mentioned.

"And that's mostly it for the interesting side of things."

"Next up, the video. Unfortunately, we have to go to the offices to watch it." Aaron said relieved. "Even though that may be a good thing? I don't even know."

"Actually, I think this can wait until tomorrow." Abby said, relieved as well.

"You're probably right."
