Ch. 5

Amelia's POV

13 months before

"Here we are!" He exclaimed. I looked up and realized that we were sort of at the end of a cliff that was perfect for looking at the stars

We got out and he informed me that we were having a picnic. We went to the trunk and pulled everything out

He laid the blanket down and we sat down "Think fast" I said before throwing a grape at him which hit him in the forehead making me laugh

"Oh it's on" He said in a playful manner. I squealed and ran away but he was a lot faster and he wrapped his arms around my waist with me still laughing

He set me down and I looked up at him, he was leaning in until I threw another grape with a giggle. We eventually stopped waisting food and started eating

When I finished I laid on the blanket and looked at the sky "Look, I see the Big and Little Dipper" I said pointing to them. I looked at Jeff but he was looking at me instead of the stars

I sat up and took a drink of my water. Right when I put down the water bottle, he grabbed my face and smashed his lips to mine. My heart started fluttering. I was so nervous and happy that I forgot to kiss back. When he was pulling back, I grabbed the back of his neck to bring him back to the kiss. This time I kissed back and it was the best first kiss I've ever had

We eventually pulled away laughing. We laid down talking about nothing with our hands intertwined
