the monitor mocks Luke by the second. he's shaking his leg repeatedly waiting for the doctor to tell him something. Ashton is on the other side of the room contacting everyone.

Luke's phone is blowing up with notifications. The blond looks at the bed where the body is laying on top of it. he quickly looks away not wanting to be reminded on what happened two hours ago.

beep beep beep beep

Luke was getting tired of this and he was way too scared. the doctors didn't tell the three youtubers anything which worried them even more. he looked up looking at the two across the room.

"this was my fault" Luke speaks up. he hadn't cried yet but he can feel the tears running down his face.

"Luke no it isn't he was trying to help" Ashton says and Luke shakes his head. he get up and walks to the bed where Micheal laid. Calum was sitting down not saying a word.

"if i would have not said anything then Calum would have not ran out and then he wouldn't have chased after him and then he wouldn't gotten ran over" Luke says and Ashton sighs.

"Luke please it wasn't your fault" Calum says and Luke looks at him. he sits back down not saying another word. the attention in there is high and Ashton couldn't handle it. he can feel the awkwardness as if its rubbing against him.

the nurse came in making everyone jump. she didn't say anything though. she just checked the monitor and the tubes that are connected to his body. she got the clip board writing down some things and left. Luke didn't know what to do if Michael dies. what would he say to his fans? Michael has always been positive and love his fans. if he is gone what would his fans do now? the people he loves, what would they do? what would Ashton do? what would Luke do?

a couple minutes have already passed and Calum had left. he needed to do another video and told Luke to keep him updated. Ashton decided to go with him to clear up his head. Luke stayed with his best friend not wanting to leave.  nurses coming in and out at different times. the monitor would beep too fast at times and they would rush in trying to calm his heart. Luke watched it all not making an emotion. tears would leave his eyes but nothing else. he wasn't full on crying.

"are you Luke Hemmings?" the doctor says coming in. Luke gets up nodding at the question. "Hello i am Dr. Sean and i am treating your friend here."

"Hello nice to meet you"

"Okay so Michael happened to be lucky if you ask me. i cant promise he will wake up though. maybe he will but thats all up to him really. it can take a few months or maybe weeks. his insurance happens to cover all of this but if he does die then the driver will be charged." Dr. Sean explains.

"yes okay thank you doctor" Luke says smiling. the doctor left the room quickly since he does have other things to do. Luke got out his phone and texted Ashton what the doctor said. he set his phone on the chair next to him. he doesn't know anything anymore.

Calum doesn't love him back. his friend can die any moment now. Ashton hates him for something he didn't even do. he isn't gonna have anyone. sure Kian and Jc come around but that's rarely. what is he gonna do at Vidcon? how is he gonna explain to his fans that the person he loves doesn't love him back and his best friend died because Luke loved someone. how is he gonna explain to Micheal parents? would they even care?
