Soraya's POV

Tears blinded my vision as I stumbled out of the elevator and dashed through the lobby.

"Hey! What the-" I bumped into Lana just as I was about to walk out the door

I can't let her see me like this, so I ran. I ran as fast as I could, stumbling a few times and tripping once or twice before finally making my way over to his car. Seeing it brought bile up my throat because it just reminded me so much if him.

I think you should leave

His voice resonated in my head as I climbed into the drivers seat

I need to think

I started the car and drove like a mad man at a really risky speed. But I didn't care. I just couldn't care any more

About fifteen minutes later and I was parked outside my house, where my best friend was probably waiting for me to come home.

She's gonna be so mad

I took a deep breath, able to keep the tears at bay before stepping out of the car. I locked it and walked up the steps, coming to stand in front of the door. I took another deep breath before raising my hand to knock.

A few sounds from came from inside before the door swung open to reveal Daphne in a pair of denim short shorts and a cropped top.

"You fucking bit—hey, what's wrong?"

At the sound of her concerned motherly voice, I lost it again, a loud sob escaping my lips. She quietly pulled me into the house, shutting the door with her foot and wrapping her arms around me. She led my crying pathetic frame over to the couch and sat us down.

I cried like a f.ucking baby, sob after sob exploding in mumbles past my lips as my shoulders shook in violent tremors. I buried my face in my best friend's chest, wetting her shirt with my stupid tears as she lovingly ran her fingers through my hair, murmuring softly to me

Why me? Why did this have to happen to me?

"I'm here for you Soy, so cry all you want right now, but when all that's over, I'm gonna go kill him"

Another loud sob broke lose and I buried my face deeper into her shirt.

"I-It h-hurts s-so much!" I cried helplessly while Daphne just muttered "I know" at intervals.

I cried for a good ten minutes after which I was left with little hiccups, puffy eyes and a dripping nose.

All in all, I looked disgusting

"You wanna tell me what happened now?" Daphne asked her voice gentle and comforting as she rubbed my knee

I shook my head with a sigh "there's not much to tell really. I-I told him about Matthew, he got really mad and then kicked me out of his house"

She narrowed her eyes into slits "that f.ucking piece of— you know what? Why don't you tell me exactly what happened?"

I took a deep breath and told her everything. From the story about his parents, to the picture he showed me, to my obvious reaction when I saw Matthew, to my meaningless rambles, to his expressions through it all, to the confession itself and lastly, to the part where he told me to leave
