Soraya's POV

I led Alex up the stairs, only looking back when someone walked in. . .

Alexander's POV

Soraya and I began ascending the stairs when the library doors suddenly opened. I would've shrugged it off as someone in need of a book and continued up the stairs, but then a voice, so soft and gentle and quiet, I almost didn't hear it, halted my movements

"Um excuse me, I'd really love to borrow a copy of Possessed by Niki Valentine. Do you. . .do you have it? Please tell me you have it. . . "

I froze in my tracks, feeling my heart pound in my chest and my stomach churn.

I turned around

And I quite literarily had to rub my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

But I wasn't.

She was here

Standing right in front of me

Only, I don't think she noticed me

That wouldn't be a surprise, she never noticed me before. . .

I couldn't believe it. Standing right at the door was. . .

London's POV

"You gotta get me this book, L" my twin sister, Paris, told me, shoving her iPad in my face

I rolled my eyes at her, shoving the iPad back at her "just in case you forgot, P, we just got here. How in the hell do you expect me to know any bookstores nearby, hmm?"

She flashed a smile, showing off her pearly whites and stupid dimples "already ahead of you, sis, I know just the perfect place for you to go"

"Well, that's all well and dandy but who says—wait a second," I narrowed my eyes at her "what do you mean place for you to go?"

"I mean you're gonna get it for me, silly. What else would I mean?"

I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow at her "says who?"

She smirked, something that always meant trouble. Trouble for me that is "says me. Besides, you'll do it willingly"

By now I already knew something was up "and why would I do that?" I don't even know why I was asking. I might as well just take her directions and buy her the stupid book. . .

"Because, sister dearest, he may or may not be in said bookshop at the moment"

My ears perked up at that "wait, he? As in Alexander Calloway? The guy I've been dying to see again for the past five years?"

She looked at me dumbly "well, I don't believe I know any other 'he' now, do I?"

I ignored her sarcasm and narrowed my eyes instead "how do you know he'll be there?"

She got that mischievous glint in her eyes that always meant trouble, picking at her nails with a small smile on her face "I have my ways. . .now, you'll do it, won't you?"
