VIII. Proto Man Intermission II

After breaking free Kalinka and managing to blast a vent open to escape, I found a small room with no cameras at all. "Let's take a rest here," I said.

She nodded and I blasted down the vent grate. "Seems suspicious."

"What seems suspicious?"

"Why would Wily have a room with no cameras at all?"

"Maybe it is a storage room."

I nodded. This just seems so odd. This is a Wily Castle after all. Rock has to deal with Cossack's Robot Masters until I can get Kalinka out of here. I kicked something out of frustration. Wait this room was empty when we got here, so that means something entered the the room.

Suddenly the lights turned on and I saw that we were on a platform. There was one robot on the roof and another one on the ground. Suddenly they started to move in a circular pattern around us. "These are papa's cockroach twins. They're designed as trash compaction robots, not fighting robots."

"Then this is Wily's doing. He has a knack for turning peaceful robots into weapons."

They didn't really attack us, just circle around. I charged my buster and shot at one of them on the wall. It fell and exploded. The other one didn't seems to like that and started moving faster and shooting at me. I blocked with my shield while Kalinka panicked. When it got within my line of sight I blasted it to pieces. Kalinka was still shaken. I walked over to her and placed my arm on her shoulder. "Don't worry, as long as I'm here with you at this Wily Castle, you'll be safe."

I noticed that the door behind her had opened and a walkway was connecting to the platform. I peaked through the door and saw that no one was outside. "C'mon we're leaving this place."

She meekly followed me outside. Dr. Cossack was probably under heavy guard so I teleported Kalinka to Dr. Lalinde's lab. "Oh, Proto Man, glad to see you," Dr. Dante said.

"Dr, have you been able to get into contact with Dr. Cossack?"

"No."

"I need to warn Rock. Now."
