XX. Epilogue

Wily crawled out of the machine, starting to beg again. "Please forgive me! I just wanted recognition this whole time!"

"It's over Wily. You're under arrest."

"Wait, before you arrest me, I just need to do one more thing."

Wily then bolted towards a door to his left and disappeared. I would have ran after him but the Castle started to fall apart. He must have activated a self destruct switch. Dang it! I teleported out of there before it could crumble down on top of my head.

"Wily escaped?"

"Blu- Proto Man! Yeah. Activated a self destruct sequence as well."

"We'll get him next time. For now, go back to Dr. Light. You need rest," he said as he started to walk away.

"What about you? You going to come too?"

"Not now. I'm not ready. I still have a few things to fix."

"You always welcome back home, Blues."

He just teleported away. Dr. Cossack found me near the castle. He drove me back to his lab where we contacted Dad. "Rock, are you alright?"

"Yeah. Wily got away. Destroyed his Castle in the process."

"That's okay. Wily, he'll get what's coming to him eventually. For now, just teleport home. We've got to do some repairs on you."

I teleported home and Roll greeted me with big hug. "Oh thank goodness, your okay, Rock! You had us so worried!"

"Hehe. Yeah, we had quite the scare when we heard about Dr. Cossack and his daughter." Auto came over with Eddie and patted my head.

"Yeah ... Wily is still out there, who knows what he's planning to do next."

"Only time will tell, Rock. Albert will come back, it's only a matter of time."

"It's only a matter of time."

I knew that bug I placed in Auto would be useful. "Oh, Thomas. You just gave me a wonderful idea."

"Wily, what do you have planned now?"

"Yvonne. Please don't rush the good doctor. He doesn't have to tell us anything."

"Quite respectful, Mr. X, but I must say ... I'm going to steal a time machine."
