Marinette had been sitting on her rooftop during a nice, sunny, warm day, reading a new book as her parents went to a bakery competition and wouldn't be returning till nightfall when a shadow moved over her book. Unsurprisingly, it was a boy shaped shadow. She smiled and turned around to face the one and only Chat Noir. One-half of Paris' superhero duo, with her being the over half, not that he knew anything about that. "Chat Noir, aren't you getting a little risky coming here in the sun? Where any reporter could see you?" she asked him in a joking manner.

Chat put rested his arms on the back of her chair and leaned forward to where his head was right next to her head. "Well I wanted to come and see my favorite girl," he said grinning as he awaited her response.

She blushed a little, surprised by his response, "Well I bet you say that to everyone, I mean, how am I supposed to know what you do when you're not here? I mean it's not like you go to school or anything!" She messed up his hair in a friendly manner to show that she was joking but was once again surprised by his reaction. So she stopped but she could have sworn that she heard him purring. "Did you just purr?" she asked him holding back laughs.

He turned bright read and pulled himself away from her. He wasn't sure how to answer her, it had never happened before but he knew just as well as her what had happened. He purred and it was weirdly satisfying for him. He shrugged before turning back to her, his face a little less red, "Maybe."

She couldn't stop herself from laughing now, it was just so random but then it also made sense at the same time. When you pet a cat and if they like it they purr. "Hey, it's okay just come back here, I want to see if it happens again. I promise I won't laugh again."

He looked at her warily but did go back over to her. He crouched down next to her chair, as there wasn't another chair on the roof. She began to scratch his head, as you would a cat, and a low purring sound began to emit from him, vibrating his being. "You are like a giant cat," Marinette said as she continued to scratch his head, "It's so weird but cool at the same time."

The longer they sat there with her scratching his head, the louder the purring would get. They had also moved into a comfier position on the blanket she had laid out on the ground. They were cuddling and the purring and the heat from his body heat had lulled her to sleep and she had stopped scratching him a while ago. He was still purring but at a lower volume as they were both asleep. Dusk had fallen and both were asleep till a car door slammed below.

Marinette sprung up into a fighting position, something she had learned from all those hours being Ladybug, and Chat did the same, looking a little confused as he was still a little asleep. He looked Marinette over at her fighting position, "How ar-"

She cut him off before he could ask the question, "Martial Arts." It wasn't a complete lie, just not the whole truth either. She looked over the railing and saw it was her parent's car. She let out a deep sigh of relief and relaxing her body. Marinette turned back to Chat Noir, "I'm sorry but you have to go now."

Chat nodded, "I understand. Until next time m'lady." He bowed before grabbing her chin and quickly kissing her. He waved goodbye and bounced off on his baton, and bounded into the skyline of Paris off rooftops.

Marinette was confused and a little bit happy about what had just happened.
